In my garden this morning

Blimey Blondenana.... mines bloomed about three weeks ago and now the flowers are dropping. First time it’s bloomed in three years!! Im in the midlands ....are you further north?

I've finally managed enough lily of the valley to make it worthwhile bringing them indoors. They've survived at least 5 long hot Madrid summers and usually only throw out one or two flower stems.

I've got bluebells and the forsythia is full of flowers. Unfortunately my garden is very overgrown and needs a lot of work. I'm seeing more birds though. My next door neighbours moved just before the lockdown and their two cats spent a lot of time my side of the fence. I miss their company but it does seem to have increased the visits of the birds.
Only downside is that new owners have builders there. They seem to be gutting the place which surprises me as the house was immaculate as far as I know, so noise of building work all the time. The birds don't seem to mind it though.

Got this little chap keeping an eye on us this morning.

So many beautiful plays and flowers. Lots of green things showing promise in mine and a few bits of colour.

When walking the dog yesterday, I saw some absolutely beautiful flag iris. The colour was the deepest purple I think I've ever seen. Sadly today they were just beginning to fade.

For burglary read nuthatch and restarts are redstarts! Herbivore is helibore.!!

We have lots of tulips in bloom as well as pansies, marigolds, Spanish bluebells, Herbivores, camellias, periwinkle and peonies. The wisteria, clematis, snowball verbena, Lily of the valley and aquiliegas all about to burst into bloom.

Blossom trees everywhere, the valley looks amazing.

I've recently seen a burglary for the first time here, the restarts are back, all the usual suspects of the finch and for families and a hoopoe. I've heard the wood pecker and cuckoo.

I live in sunny Devon and my eight camellias have been in full bloom at least a month now. Loads of tulips out, including some from Lidl, like vegansrock.
Roses full of bud, one or two may open next week. Cherry tree out in full bloom.
Wonderful weather for several days. Those of us with gardens are so lucky.

I have had marigolds blooming, yes, golden flowers, blooming
all the winter months, and still blooming

I think the flowers are confused.. aubretia, has been blooming, not in my garden, for some weeks now.. and tulips are early imo..

Some gorgeous very dark tulips out

Not really unusual. But large fox in garden close to the house last night. We also have lots of meandering hedgehogs. I have a feeder and a couple of houses. And last night 'sonic' was on the go. He/she is a small hedgehog who runs round really fast. I didnt realise hogs could run so fast. Very cute.

It's almost as if nature has decided we all need a cheer up. My Magnolia is a picture, the camelias are all out,the wallflowers are giving out a beautiful scent & the bulbs are still in full flower.
Even the fish have decided to show themselves in the pond.
The weather has been so amazing I have spent most of the days out there reading.
For the record I trim down my Penstemons but don't know if that is the correct thing to do- they always put on a good show the next year anyway.

My two camellias have bloomed - the pink one is almost over now and the white one never really gets started before the blooms drop off! The garden suffered from a flash flood last year and I lost all the new perennials I had planted but the hellebores go on reproducing themselves year on year - white with freckles and rich pink.

What a lovely uplifting thread, so many beautiful gardens.
We have little colour just now and no chance of adding any.

Greyduster, the camellia is beautiful. We saw a similar one today on our early morning walk and weren't sure what it was.
So that has answered our question.

Looking forward to getting out there in a minute, though bit chilly today!

I use Crocus, always good quality, all guaranteed and any problems after planting they will replace the plant

We have nothing much in flower in the main beds yet except leopards bane and erisymum Bowles Mauve, which always make an early splash, but the camellia has finally managed to get its backside in gear and the rockery wall is coming into its own day by day. The tiny narcissus is a great favourite of mine and always appears when all the other daffs have finished. Lilies in pots are well on their way and the agapanthus and hostess are showing through too. I feel it will be a much depleted plot this year as I missed the chance before we were isolated to buy more plants and now the garden centres are closed. Does anyone know of a reliable online plant supplier? Please don’t say T&M, with whom we have had disappointments in the past.
