Good morning Henri66 I think if you are shopping for essential food and that shop sells non-essentials as well, then it is ok to add something not essential to your shopping. What the Government want to stop is people making a special journey to a shop that only sells non-essentials.

Good morning from a sunny Norfolk. Frosty summerhouse roof this morning but warming up nicely now.
Tesco delivery yesterday so nicely stocked up for a few days, dropped my mothers bits to her on her doorstep, she hasn't really grasped what is happening in the world and just keeps asking when will it all end, we have the same conversation everytime we talk, do others have the same with elderly parents?

DH attacking the wild weeds in the garden today while I potter and tidy.

Good morning from sunny but chilly Devon, still a cold wind here but I'm planning to get out in he garden today, housework will wait for a dull/wet day although my bedroom needs painting first, got to get my priorities right

Lots to keep me busy if I get the urge, otherwise I will take my time. I have the advantage of being retired for nearly 14 years (early retirement at 50 to look after DH, widow for 7 years).

I love my independence, no-one to worry about except cat, I even forgot to feed him the other morning , couldn't understand why he was pestering me, normally when I bring the milk in I pick up his bowl...Ooops

I’m 72 today. Mixed feelings.
OurDD and family stuck in NZ zoomed early this morning. Bless them, DD had organised her brothers to join us, so we had a happy half hour. It was really lovely.
Other than that - supermarket, washing, cooking, the usual today.

Good morning all from a very sunny but cold North Somerset. Today I intend to some goods back to a shop. They are all ready to go but our local Post Office is in chaos, you just can't keep away from others. So I am going to drive 4 or 5 miles to the next town where they have a huge spacious post office and send it from there. I might go out on my bike later for a bit of exercise otherwise its a book in the garden if the kids next for aren't outside screaming at each other.

I am about to do a Pilates session, find something to cook in one of my many books, head into the garden to do some meditation then enjoy the sunshine before taking the elderly neighbours dog out this afternoon. I’m digging deep to stay calm and make the most of it. My working life will be insane upon my return to the frontline of government duties after this. Stay healthy and optimistic everyone x

Glad the dietician has now got a plan in place for little Henry Susan. I sincerely hope that he starts to improve now, as my now very robust great nephew did.
I woke up late this morning, went downstairs and made a coffee and took it back upstairs and put it on the bedside cabinet. The next thing I knew the cup and contents were on the floor, I'd had another dratted seizure! Only now starting to feel a little bit better (two hours later). I haven't even had a shower and got dressed yet, so frustrating. I shouldn't moan really, there are people struggling with more difficulties than me. It's just that I feel so weary.
Look after yourselves and stay safe everyone ❤️. to all that need them.

Hello from a sunny but chilly Gloucestershire. My first post here. My tumble dryer is not working so am grateful to have good weather, even if the towels feel like sandpaper! The seeds have arrived and I am off to the greenhouse today to start planting. Love reading what other people are doing.

Your energetic post, Gabriella, propelled me out of bed where I was comfortably reading my paper and downstairs to scrub the kitchen floor, as opposed to wash it, do some washing and prepare yet again for the onslaught on the garden.

Good morning from sunny Manchester. Must be a record for sunny days here! Tesco click and collect yesterday was a big success. Def do it again when I can. Urmston as we live in the mountains, we are well used to that view but not usually at this time of year. Something going on when Manchester gets Spain's weather! I had ordered goal posts for the dgs's which arrived yesterday. They were delighted to receive an unexpected gift addressed to them in the post. Might start to look for other things to send them. Walk later this afternoon. Painting a garden arch after I have done the ironing this morning. The things you do! (((hugs))) for those with extra cares and worries.

Good morning from the East Midlands where it is lovely and sunny. I got up soon and baked and put the washing out. Determined to feel more positive today and the whole thing was beginning to wear me down. Luckier than most I had to give myself a good shake. I’m heading off shortly for my little 20 minutes walk around the block. DH has just gone to the supermarket for the weeks shopping for essentials so he will need fumigating when he gets back. An afternoon of weeding and maybe cut the grass. One of my granddaughters has started doing the family tree so I’ll be sorting some more stuff out for her, all done via text messages. Take care all my lovely friends and catch up again soon. Xxx

Good morning from a sunny NE coast! Looks to be sitting outside weather thank goodness . Really lifts the spirits after 3 plus weeks of only the permitted walk and no coffee stops.
I used to confiscate fought over toys too Hetty but at least my kids could run off their energy outside . It must be so difficult to stop them fighting when they are stuck indoors for most of the day. I do feel sorry for anyone trying to deal with young children at the moment especially those in inner cities or in high rise accommodation . Very stressful.

Good morning from South Hampshire Coast. Its a lovely day today a few fluffy white clouds coming in off the Solent, however, it is wall to wall sunshine this morning. I need to gut the conservatory ready for decorating so think I will be having the doors wide open.

Goodmorning everyone, I’m quite new and love coming here to see how everyone is going to spend their day as I’m on my own mostly and feel more alive when I read these. A bright and beautiful NE Surrey today lets me plan some seed sewing and pottering in my little garden studio while listening to the radio thinking of hopeful happier days to come in the Summer. I love to think of the old tv prog The Good Life as I potter and imagine Im Felicity Kendall

Good morning all from N Bucks and another beautiful morning.
No real plans for today other than to enjoy the lovely weather.
I know this is going to sound niggardly, but how do you GabriellaG justify a morning run and an afternoon ride/walk when we are all told to restrict ourselves to one sortie per day? I realise it is doing no harm but nor would two dog walks a day, or anything similar.
We are all I think resigned to not breaking the rules but are we not also told not to bend them?
