Some housework to do first thing. Afterwards I will do some crafting and if that gets finished I will go out into the garden to work and read.

Good morning all. Not as cold today here in Cheshire, hoping it is as sunny as yesterday. DS phoned yesterday, he sounded really fed up; the children are playing up, and keep 'fighting' over toys and competing for attention from their parents. Oh dear. So wish I could help, it would be lovely for one of them to come and stay for a few days to relieve the boredom. I just wonder how long it will be before that can happen, a few weeks at least.

No idea what I am going to do today - no gardening to do, so it will have to be housework or more tidying of wardrobes/drawers; I could always jetwash the front drive, but after 3 days of jetwashing the backgarden flags, I think it can wait for another day!

Good morning Mick and Beechnut from a gloriously bright north Wales where DH has just brought my chamberpot to me and I’m listening to the chatter of birdies in the garden.

Will sort out the spare room today - drawers, bedding etc - the amount of stuff I’ve got ready for charity shops when they re-open is shocking, and I’m renowned for annual declutters!

Good morning Mick and all. I’m new to this lovely thread and hope I’m welcome. I’m in Surrey. Very bright sun rising here, looks to be a lovely day ahead of us. More gardening for us and hopefully a short walk. I do feel as though I’m seizing up a bit. Pigeons doing their usual stomping on our flat roof as I type. Hope everyone stays safe and well.

Good morning from NE Hampshire where the sun is shining and the birds are singing their socks off. How welcoming you all are to us newbies, thank you. Special day today. It’s my lovely daughter’s birthday. She’s been doing a grand job making sure I have everything I need shopping-wise, and today I’m expecting cake ?! At least I’ll be able to wish her happy birthday in person.

To top it off, a neighbour who apparently is going mad with boredom has offered to clean my car! It’s so bad it will certainly help fill several hours for him. Be safe and well everyone.

Oops better explain to Oscaroll and Oldbutstilluseful and any other newcomers that ‘my chamberpot’ is my huge mug of wake-up-tea! Else you’d think other thoughts.......welcome all!

Curlywhirly, when my four kids fought over a toy, the toy was confiscated and locked away for the day. Fighting for parental attention was met by 'You must be bored, so you need something to do!' and an allocation of chores. Get your son to try these things.

Good morning everyone from a chilly but bright Northampton. There is a frost on the summerhouse roof. Should be warm enough to sit out again today and read. I have just started an Agatha Christie for book club, the first of hers I've ever read, and am really enjoying it.

Cut the back grass yesterday, and will do the front at some time today, as it is garden waste collection tomorrow. Managed to lower the blades on the mower, so it looks lovely and neat now. Have a load of washing in, and may strip the bed later, and hoover round upstairs.

Logged into Sainsburys twice yesterday morning, but no slots available; tried again after lunch and they had released one for this afternoon, so I took advantage of it.

Morning All

A lovely crisp, bright morning here in the north of Norfolk. I just went out to uncover my seedlings from their overnight frost protection and it's more crisp than I'd anticipated! The sun will soon warm through.

The garden is immaculate now - apart from one small corner which will be perfect by this evening. The house is clean and the windows sparkling (did them yesterday). So I shall be sitting in the sun doing that infuriating map jig-saw which got the better of me in the winter. Of course, I could make a start on clearing out the loft - but that's on next week's list.

Sunny but only 2c in Kent will warm to a balmy 14c apparently.
Weekly shop this morning DH will stroll along the prom to the supermarket and I will drive and collect him after. That's my outing for the week.
Not having wobbles just bored with doing the same things day in. I have things I enjoy doing but doing them every day I find I'm losing enthusiasm.

I have a quandary this morning.
Our granddoggy has adore eye which is really bothering him. I am shielding but think I will have to take him to the vet - there is no one else who can! I will put on my gloves and mask and ask if the vet can see him outside.

I’m surprised at how many jobs I can find to do, which I have neglected over the years.

I will no doubt fit in a few games of Classic Words Scrabble that was recommended to me on G N and which I am completely hooked on.

Good morning everyone from Malaga where it’s raining! There was flash lightening in the early hours but no thunder so someone was getting the storm proper. Strange weather indeed for Spain so late in the year. Perhaps the sun is in lockdown too? Cesar the gardener will be glad he tackled the grass first yesterday - it took him over 3 hours. I don’t usually notice how long!

Yesterday I put my pumps on, put ‘Adele’ on my iPod and had a brisk walk for 30 minutes. I felt energised. I know it was only up and down the landing but it’s in the fresh air at least and it’s got a gorgeous view of the mountains. My knee that I had a problem with 2y ago seems a bit wonky. No swelling though so although I planned to walk every day I think it’s best to rest up today as it might flare if I overdo it in the beginning. Best be sensible, especially in these times eh?

Beef stew planned with tinned tomatoes and onions for the slow cooker. Will plate some up for my neighbour as per. We were saying yesterday (socially distanced) we hope Spain has done the right thing allowing some non essential workers to go back. It’s quite soon only 3 days after the numbers had peaked then plateaued. Only time will tell of course.

Good morning from east London, blue sky and sunny outside and very refreshing when I stuck my head out the back door. Spent a bit of time yesterday trying to find out the rearranged bin dates due to the Easter break; needn’t have worried, first wagon was here at 5.45am as usual. It was mayhem when I went shopping yesterday; everyone was just walking into the store as there were no restrictions, then long queues to pay. When I came out, some sense had been restored and the queue stretched almost in a square around the car park. There’s a nice page on Facebook called ‘max in the lakes’ where the poster shows live video of walking his dogs in the lakes. I just love seeing the countryside in it, not many hills in east London to compare with that. Today, sorting out and bag clearing still going on, catch up with Gareth and a walk. Have a good day.

Much birdsong this morning... lovely.
All the washing is dry and put away ... it’s so nice to line dry in the sunny weather.
Bit of housework today, some cooking and some tv watching... same as yesterday. The Easter chocolate and cake is all finished, so that’s probably a good thing.

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire, looks sunny but cold out there today.

Had a video consultation with the vet yesterday and she said that the pooch has conjunctivitis and prescribed some drops. We took a long walk down to the vets to collect them yesterday evening.
No work for me today and I am still waiting for all the compliancy checks for my new job before I can start that.

I will write a letter to my DFiL and take it up to his care home with some sweets and pop it through the letterbox. We were asked by the home not to mention the virus to them and, as I can’t call him as he is quite deaf and it is frustrating, I thought a letter would be nice.

Good morning Mick and everyone and a warm welcome to the new good morningers. It's another bright start to the day in Cheshire, but frost at rooftop level. The early part of yesterday afternoon I sat in the garden in my jacket and a throw over my legs, an hour later the sun was so hot I needed sun cream. I'm so glad we're having bright days, it would be just awful if it was pouring with rain each day.

I can't get on with TV at the moment and I've lost count of how many things I've started to watch on Netflix and given up on after a few minutes. I decided to make some more calls to friends I haven't seen for a while and that was lovely. All still well fortunately.

I will walk in the woods as usual this morning and spend time in the garden later. Then finish reading a novel which is full of ludicrous co-incidences, but I must know how it ends! An online meeting this evening. I read the minutes for that at about 3.00 a.m. as I've had a restless night.

A very good morning from the start of a gorgeously sunny morningin Godalming.
Sun was just tipping the trees with a golden glow when I finished my run at a little past 06.30 and now the sky is blue and another nice day in store.
I may go for a ride (horse) later instead of a walk, more interesting and a different view.
Washing (leggings and running gear plus socks is on and dry by tonight if I hang it out.
Well, what to do? Brekkie...scrambled eggs as I have plenty and seeded wholemeal toast plus cloudy apple juice.
Sainsos is the cheapest locally @ £2 for over a litre compared with £2.16 for 900ml at Waitrose.
I'm expecting a white blouse from H&M today so I'll put a snack+drink together for Yodel driver.
Housework all done daily incl under beds and skirtings, mirrors, doors etc. So easy if you do the lot in one go, 3/4 hr max. Good exercise too.
I thinks that's all. Not very exciting but I'm ok with being on my own in peace and quiet.
Here's hoping everyone sees some sunshine☀️☀️ today and those with worries find some lightness to dispel the gloom.

Well. We won't go short of fruit as the UK is flying in hundreds of seasonal Polish workers to work on the farms.
First flight has 180 on board. Thanks to all our Polish friends who do this every year. I for one, appreciate all your work having visited a strawberry farm in Kent last year, bought from the shop and met some pickers.

But I am with you about the DGC. My DD was trying to cope with a 2 yr old screaming for an hour. She told me I could have her - I only wish we could.
I'm anxious about my DS who is a deliveryman and he is the only one in his group without symptoms He was on his own yesterday.

Well done Urmston on your exercise. Did you see the news item about the 99yr old man who's sponsored walk has raised over £1 million for the NHS.? There's no excuses really, are there!
