Challenge of the Day #10 (16th April)

Productive challenge today! We want you to take a photo of your 'rubbish' drawer. You know the one grin. It usually houses random keys that don't fit any doors/windows, a bit of string, an old bank statement, the tape measure you can never find when you need it etc etc.
Post a photo of it on this thread. Then have a go at clearing it out. Later today (or tomorrow) post a pic of the much neater drawer.

Yes Crazygran, it’s 5. The elephants weren’t going to the river and there were only 2 monkeys.

Sorry don’t have one. Don’t have a lot of space to store in a small flat and all drawers are organised to hold what’s needed as well as possible. Also just tidied them again in the kitchen for something to do!

I haven’t painted my toenails for a while though, Gabriella. I might give it a go today, to check whether all these at home yogalates sessions are keeping me supple. grin

I'd be disappointing. I have all my rubbish sorted into separate plastic bags: erasers; pens, rubber bands, WiteOut etc.

I know where everything is.

Would that my mind was as neat grin

All very interesting.
I wonder if anyone could tell what age a person is and what they looked like (height build, colouring, job, disposition etc) just by looking around their home and in their wardrobe but not moving or opening anything else?

GabriellaG54 Thu 16-Apr-20 23:48:30

Maggiemaybe
Now we know you paint your toenails. ??

heidimargaret Thu 16-Apr-20 21:03:45

I could have beaten all shown pictures. So sad to late now !!!!

lizzypopbottle Thu 16-Apr-20 18:51:04

This might be too much of a challenge! How will I find anything?

Callistemon Thu 16-Apr-20 15:33:42

So that's where DD's ballet shoes got to!!
Oh, they belong to your DD Maggiemaybe

I'll have to keep hunting.

Maggiemaybe Thu 16-Apr-20 15:09:13

Well here’s (one of) mine. I won’t be doing anything with it today though as a) the sun’s shining and b) I need all these things. Even the ballet shoes, even though my DDs are not much shy of 40 and I only have grandsons.

But at least I know now where those sunglasses went.

Tgt1 Thu 16-Apr-20 14:45:21

No way, much to scary as we have 3 drawers like that. Can't face it ?

123kitty Thu 16-Apr-20 13:26:36

Who thought up this dreadful idea- we've got enough to cope with as it is? shock

grandtanteJE65 Thu 16-Apr-20 13:00:49

I no longer have one. I have been using the lockdown to spring clean.

DH has (whisper this) actually tidied up his workshop!

Can you beat it?

SusieFlo Thu 16-Apr-20 11:47:53

I did mine just before lockdown, feeling very virtuous. We have since needed two items that I threw away..........

GabriellaG54 Thu 16-Apr-20 11:34:07

Sorry...all my drawers and cupboards are clean and organised. ??

Thecatshatontgemat Thu 16-Apr-20 11:04:34

Don't have one.
Past mess has never been repeated, too soul destroying!
When fitting my new kitchen l did not have any drawers at all, and l manage just fine.

Theoddbird Thu 16-Apr-20 11:02:33

If I tidy them I won't know where everything is. Will sit and sew instead.

trisher Thu 16-Apr-20 10:49:36

Lara that drawer looks reasonably tidy to me. A pot to put little things in and I suspect you can close it without anything sticking out of it! Low standards I know! blush

4allweknow Thu 16-Apr-20 10:27:55

It's 5.

TATT Thu 16-Apr-20 10:18:57

I’m too embarrassed!! grin

Crazygran Thu 16-Apr-20 10:13:18

Does anyone have the correct answer for how many animals going to the river please ?

LaraGransnet (GNHQ) Thu 16-Apr-20 09:59:23

Ha! One will do. Maybe the least messy. Here's mine. blush

Mamissimo Thu 16-Apr-20 09:43:56

The Man Drawer ?

trisher Thu 16-Apr-20 09:39:16

Not going there. Couldn't decide which one you mean anyway. Is it the one with the old bits of make-up and the hotel freebees? Or the one with all the electric wires left by my DSs (and 'no' I don't know what they do). Or any of the others- I don't want to think about it!!!!

yggdrasil Thu 16-Apr-20 09:35:50

Like Oopsadaisy, I have several places such stuff is kept. And I know which place to look for anything I need. Tidying is not an option, I'd never find anything then grin
