Virtual day out (just for fun )

I am of to peak district walking with family than stopping of for pub lunch in doverdale than sitting in pub garden soaking up sun.Walk back to car than stop off for late afternoon tea on way bacck

Mine is learning to drive my new schooter and go a bit further each day and pray nobody gets in my way ho did I forget to tell you I can't get it until all this lockdown is over

I'll be in bed in the guest room with early bird GD who will be using my iPad whilst I read a newspaper. About an hour later sleepyhead GD will appear and then it's completely wonderful. It's the stuff my survival is made of.

For me it is a round trip around the outer edge of the lake district in Cumbria. Penrith to the coast for a walk on the beach then up the Wasdale valley then back to Gosforth then up to Eskdale then over to Ulpha via Birker fell with a call in to see my sister and family, ( they have a lovely snack shack at the farm gate with gorgeous cake). Back home via Grange-over-Sands for the charity shops and then round the estuary to Arnside for fish and chips and the sunset before coming home.

Walking through the lemon groves in Sorrento to the harbour and taking a boat down the Amalfi coast.Bon Giorno.

DH and I are taking a virtual holiday, not just a day out.

We are off to Vienna and after that Budapest.

I’m going to my son and daughter in law’s house. I’m going to send them out, while I spend the whole day alone with my 18 month old grandson. We’ll have a picnic in the garden and I’ll read him stories, which he loves. This is all I want. This to me is heaven.

Packing as I type

I'm off for a drive over the North Yorks Moors to Whitby. We'll climb up the 199 steps to the Abbey and the back down for a good lunch at the White Horse & Griffin. Then, if the tides out, a stroll along the beach to Sandsend. I wish.

As I live in the countryside I think I'll catch a train to London and get on a river boat out to Greenwich and beyond, turning around by the Thames barrier and back to Westminster bridge. Then I'll have a leisurely lunch in Fortnum and Masons, after which I'll walk through St.James park almost up to Buckingham Palace before returning to my hotel for an early dinner and then see a show, preferrably a musical, in the west end.

I’m going to go and see the Kelpies, I’ll have a picnic and then I will be popping further north to see the northern lights.

I'm simply heading for a walk in our favourite NT place, Mountstewart. The gardens will be so colourful now.
We'll have lunch in their little cafe - soup and egg and cress sandwiches - the fresh bread is delicious. We might drive into Greyabbey afterwards and browse the little courtyard shops. Our favourite day out.?

BradfordLass73, am on way(again). did a few virtual tours last week, in reality was a 50th birthday treat to myself, seems so long ago now with so many pictures, videos and very happy memories of the wonderful scenery and lovely people.

BradfordLass73 - I’m on my way as New Zealand is on my list of places to visit.

On my virtual day out I would spend it with my lovely DH and we would sit by the river at Durham city then lunch at Venells (not sure of the spelling). A drink in the Market Tavern and a bit look around the shops. Back to the lovely north east coast, where I grew up and sit on the beach. Meet up with friends later and have a meal and lots of drinks with plenty of natter. Back to our favourite B&B and off to sleep. Ahhhhhh bliss!

We were supposed to be going there in June but sadly it has been cancelled already, so I hope we get there in September.

I dont ask for much and it isn’t until now that we all realise just what we had and how much we want it back!

I'm meeting up with my friend Margaret and we will go over The Mersey on the Ferry and walk up to Town and visit Lush and replace our fabulous smelling soaps.
After a browse around the shops we will go to The Carriage Works for lunch and a tipple or two.
Wander back down near Albert Dock and sit and watch the people passing for a while before getting the Ferry back home to our side of The River.

I fancy an early start family walk from Landguard Fort in Felixstowe, along the coast towards old Felixstowe, stopping for coffee on the way. Lunch at one of the restaurants in old Felixstowe, and then up the A12 to Southwold for a gentle sunbathe on the beach, a paddle while the kids and grandkids swim, a cup of tea or an ice cream from one of the beach cafes and then home to a slow cooked meal prepared by my Fairy Godmother, and either a film or a family games session for the evening. Ahhh. I feel better already.

I am going out in my finished camper (that is a way off yet) and travelling around Britain. First stop is in the East to see my old school friend who I haven't seen for 20 years. In my virtual world I wouldn't have the fuel bill either.

My husband and I have brought the exercise bike in from storage. We are cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats. We have reached Weston Super Mare, much to my astonishment. I’m not the fittest person in the world. When we reach a target (next one is Bristol) I post on FB for my friends to follow with a relevant photo. It’s very motivational.

Go to folkestone with my family to see my daughter son in law and 4yrold grandson. We will go to the beach paddle in the sea. Have some chips whist walking along the sea front. Just laugh, chat, cuddle. Family time

I'm finally moving house!

Out for breakfast, then meet friends at an RSPB reserve. Have coffee at the cafe, then go bird-watching together, with gentle strolls between the hides. Back to cafe for light lunch, then some more bird-watching. Leave in the late afternoon. Take in an early evening film, then go out for dinner together.....

Could I have a hokey pokey ice cream please oh and some Whitaker’s chocolate. I can dream !!

A picnic at Burnsall or Grassington by the River Wharfe with 4 little people and all mums and dads. Paddling shoes, dinghy, fishing nets and jam jars. Game of cricket and a huge 99 cornet for all before home time.
