Hotel question

Never like leaving "marks" on the toilet bowl when I stay away.
I stayed at one owner type B and B and I said, there was no Sanitary brush.
Owner said new rules state Sanitary brush's are not allowed to be in the toilets.
It seems travelodge don't have ST either.
Yet other owner owned B and B's have Sanitary brush's.
Could any one clarify?

Is it only you and me?

And yes, it is difficult to use the loo wearing an all-in-one jumpsuit.

Given that none of us can go on holiday, stay in hotels or B and Bs while we are in lockdown, what on earth was the point, OP?

Jane10 Mon 20-Apr-20 17:24:38

Hmmmm hmm. Infoman hope you've washed your hands.

A toilet brush that you take with you when travelling?
It’s never been on my must take list??

Callistemon, It is! Quite astonishing?

GabriellaG54 Mon 20-Apr-20 20:04:03

I bought one when I moved here more than 8 years ago it's got white bristles and a chrome lidded handle and sits inside a tomato red tubular holder.
It's never been used. Not needed.

I would not have one in my house they are horrible. I clean our toilets wearing rubber gloves and use kitchen paper to go round the bowl . Gloves used only for this purpose . Growing up I never remember anyone owning a toilet brush.

Ahh...but do you throw the soiled kitchen paper in the kitchen bin ? or flush it down the toilet? That is the question.

My advice to ladies seeking a new partner is to discreetly question whether they are fond of curry and Guinness. If yes, get rid.

My advice to Grans is to have a think about the sort of person who puts up such threads. Don't feed into it.

No ta but you'd be mistaken in thinking that every Gransnetter is ?
There will always be those who have fetishes but are silent on the matter.
Who they are is anyone's guess.

I find this Post from ‘Infoman’ strange and creepy, I agree with others who have voiced similar feelings.

GabriellaG54 Wed 22-Apr-20 17:39:55

I think it's a reasonable question to ask.
Would ladies feel just as uncomfortable if it were a female asking the same question?
We've had threads talking about constipation, diarrhoea, gynae problems and many other issues regarding toilet or reproductive matters, so why the disgust that a man should ask about cleaning a toilet?

phoenix Wed 22-Apr-20 17:43:29

Does anyone remember the GN member who posted that she put her toilet brush through the dishwasher? Bleurgh!

GabriellaG54 Wed 22-Apr-20 17:43:41

It seems to be ok if a woman should ask such a question or indeed if a female watched porn but a man...????
There appears to be something suspect and dirty about a male in those circumstances.

Glorybee Wed 22-Apr-20 17:53:29

Gabriella, I just think a man asking a question like this on a mature women’s thread is creepy! Why here? Someone has suggested the information was easy to find on Google. It’s got nothing to do with sexism, it’s just a gut ‘creep’ factor - you find it ok, I just don’t !

Missfoodlove Wed 22-Apr-20 19:13:54

Glorybee,

Glory be! We are singing from the same hymn sheet. ???

GabriellaG54 Wed 22-Apr-20 19:58:56

Why then do women come on here to ask questions, the answers to which can be easily found +++ on Google?
Perhaps he has no immediate female to ask and maybe he thinks that we, as females, could enlighten him we are (usually) the primary organisers of all household matters concerning, but not exclusive to, bathroom accessories.
We spend a great deal more time in there than do many men, even when we stay in hotels.
Ask any most men about the decor in a hotel he's recently stayed in and be greeted with a blank stare.
Asking a woman will give you at least the bare bones but most would be able to tell you the thread count of the bedlinen and exact amount of dust on the lintels.
Anyway...I'm off here. Chat amongst yourselves. You're very judgemental without knowing the first thing about him but then, I know from personal experience what that is like.

Bathrooms in Premier Inns do not have them.

Daisyboots Wed 22-Apr-20 20:45:08

Is infoman a man? How do we know?

Galaxy Wed 22-Apr-20 20:51:35

You are very naive.

Grannynannywanny Wed 22-Apr-20 21:36:20

I hope infoman doesn’t find out his wife uses his toothbrush when the aforementioned brush is absent ?

Jane10 Wed 22-Apr-20 22:03:21

I did suggest to GNHQ that this thread was dodgy for reasons that several of you have also picked up on but was told that the OP was a long standing member (am saying nothing) so the thread would remain.
