I have become seriously CBA, unmotivated and idle, so I thought I would write myself an encouraging note to stick up on the wall as I have no one around to give me a kick up the butt. I wrote:
“You must get up and do some housework. You must take more care of the house and you must finish the garden”.
Okay but as I am the only one to read it why did I put “you”? When I write in my diary I always call myself you as well. What do you do when writing things to yourself? Perhaps I have a personality disorder (tongue in cheek). I feel like as I have spent my entire life being told what to do so trying to give myself instructions it seems logical to be ‘you’ instead of I. If you see what I mean.
So are you ‘you’ or ‘I’? ?
