I am with GabriellaG54, we are in strange times, do as you please when you please.......

(For the record I have no idea who I am or what day it is until my second coffee (latte) of the day)

I don't write to myself on any subject as I know perfectly well that if I did, I would ignore me/you/I.
Only do things when it's crucial or impacts your comfort if you don't do whatever.
Otherwise, simply procrastinate. There is no joy in enslaving yourself to a list.

Set them as targets.

Get up.
Get dressed
Open the curtains.
Make breakfast.
Eat breakfast.
Wash up.
Tidy the living room
and so on.

Make the targets simple . Don't put 'do some housework' as it's too non specific and don't give yourself too many targets to achieve each day. Most of all don't beat yourself up if you don't achieve all your targets every day.

Gosh, that’s not an encouraging note.lnWhy are you ordering yourself about like this?

I’ve written myself ‘Why don’t you?” notes sometimes.

Why don’t you put the Italian an CD on?
Why don’t you sow those seeds?
Why don’t you do the ironing?

It’s a bit gentler and I find myself saying, Yes, why not?

I guess “you” means we’re lazy sods that need someone else to motivate us?

Don't order yourself !Artdecogran

Break free.
Your not in the army now

Treat yourself.
Choose a task and when completed reward yourself.
A cuppa,☕ a bit of Chocolate,?
a chapter of a book.

Listen some upbeat music whilst whizzing around with the duster.
Or listen to an audiobooks whilst doing a bit of weeding.

If you really cba then a walk or some online excercise.

Artdeco to get through this day as pleasantly and calmly as possible. You will have achieved
Your gold star⭐

I wouldn’t put either. It’s more like an order then e.g. Get up and clean the house.

I have become seriously CBA, unmotivated and idle, so I thought I would write myself an encouraging note to stick up on the wall as I have no one around to give me a kick up the butt. I wrote:
“You must get up and do some housework. You must take more care of the house and you must finish the garden”.
Okay but as I am the only one to read it why did I put “you”? When I write in my diary I always call myself you as well. What do you do when writing things to yourself? Perhaps I have a personality disorder (tongue in cheek). I feel like as I have spent my entire life being told what to do so trying to give myself instructions it seems logical to be ‘you’ instead of I. If you see what I mean.
So are you ‘you’ or ‘I’? ?
