I do not think lorry drivers get enough recognition for the vital service they provide.

It must be a lonely difficult job.

I am thankful to you all.flowers

Thanks for all your good wishes, we mainly carry food and medicine, so I feel we're doing a good job!

I have cousins driving HGVs and they’re all over 60 and still trucking!

My husband has just retired from driving HGVs he is 69 and is fretting that he should be ‘out there’ helping during this National emergency.

? Thank you Tommy and everyone else who's keeping the country going

My son is a Hgv driver he's 30 and paid for all his own training with help from me. Yes it's mostly older men driving Hgv's because the cost of qualification these days is so high.

THANK YOU ?? Tommy16
I love yogurt, in fact I've just had an Activia rhubarb (partly frozen) superb.
Stay safe.

Oldies have always kept the country going IMO!
Thank you to you and your colleagues for continuing to work during this dreadful time.
I shall clap as usual this evening for the NHS, but I always think too about the drivers, shop staff, carers, teachers et al.

My Son-in-law is a lorry driver and he is in his mid 50's most of his colleagues are also over 50.
He and his business partner have problems getting younger drivers as the cost of training and testing is very high and a big outlay for younger drivers.
Keep up the good work you are doing a wonderful job.
I hope people will show a bit more consideration to lorry and delivery drivers when this crisis is in the past.
