Boris has a son ???

Anniebach Wed 29-Apr-20 21:07:13

One is acceptable more than one is not ?

I wonder if he had an affair with the 2nd Mrs Johnson, he divorced and married in the same year.

I am certainly not defending him, just don’t like hypocrisy and
there has been today

trisher Wed 29-Apr-20 20:59:50

Not just one affair Annie numerous affairs.

Anniebach Wed 29-Apr-20 20:57:23

2 wives and perhaps his fiancé will be the 3rd wife. He is not
the only politician to have been married three times and had an affair whilst married .

trisher Wed 29-Apr-20 20:52:49

GabriellaG54 if Johnson were an ordinary citizen I wouldn't comment or be interested in anything he did or said, but he is a public figure. He has pontificated about single mothers whilst fathering illegitimate children. He has cheated and lied. The women he has become involved with have frequently been in some sort of junior position to him when he started the relationship. He is not only amoral, he is hypocritical and predatory. Quite how he manages to pull the wool over the eyes of so many GNers I don't know.

GabriellaG54 Wed 29-Apr-20 19:49:45

I bet there are some GNers who have AC who are single mums and some who have feckless sons who don't support their offspring but the child just born had no say in the matter.
There are plenty born into terrible homes who suffer terrible lives, which Boris' son won't suffer.
We can only try our best to make this a better world for all children to live in safety and flourish.
If they're loved, that's fantastic no matter whether the parents are married or not.
His private life and how he conducts it are no business of ours unless his actions are criminally neglectful.

Pantglas2 Wed 29-Apr-20 19:28:44

He did resign his post when found out but was welcomed back to Cabinet after a suitable time had elapsed suggesting that Thatcher had forgiven him GillT57

GabriellaG54 Wed 29-Apr-20 19:26:50

Boris has 4 by his ex wife, 2 boys and two girls and two children (one of whom is a girl, the other unknown) with different mothers.

GillT57 Wed 29-Apr-20 19:18:16

I don't wish to moralise on this birth, as many have said, we have moved on, thankfully, and many of us have skeletons in our own family closets, I certainly have! I am just bemused that politics has come into this; there are some who praise Johnson for whatever he does, will hear no ill spoken of him, and perhaps allow for behaviour that they would be unhappy to have in their own family, I for one, would not be thrilled if my DD was in the position that his fiancee is in, having a child to a man old enough to be her Father and with what, by any description, is a chaotic marital and romantic history. To drag Corbyn into this is irrelevant and pointless, and to be honest, spiteful. The baby is here, is we hope, healthy and wanted, but so were all Johnson's other children we assume. I hope this one is luckier.

Barmeyoldbat Wed 29-Apr-20 19:16:42

Oldwoman I entitled to my opinion the same as everyone else.

GillT57 Wed 29-Apr-20 19:06:04

I was under the impression that he was forced to resign Pantglas but if I remember incorrrectly, I apologise.

Oldwoman70 Wed 29-Apr-20 19:00:33

As we are frequently told by some, if you don't like the subject or a thread you don't have to read it or post on it!

Pantglas2 Wed 29-Apr-20 18:57:51

I think you’ll find that Margaret thatcher DID stand by Cecil Parkinson when he fathered a child with his mistress and was still married GillT57

BlueSky Wed 29-Apr-20 18:52:02

Lucca I guess Corbyn was leader of the opposition till recently and therefore Johnson's 'enemy'. Perhaps we don't know much about Starmer yet or he hasn't got a colourful private life!

Anniebach Wed 29-Apr-20 18:35:56

The birth of every baby is cause for celebration

Chewbacca Wed 29-Apr-20 18:08:38

Interesting that you recognised yourselves so quickly.

GillT57 Wed 29-Apr-20 18:08:31

Oh FFS, just leave Corbyn out of this discussion. Pathetic whataboutery. As I said before, I wish the child well, and his parents, but see no reason for celebration. For those of you who have dragged Corbyn into this, I can be pretty sure that Margaret Thatcher would not have approved of his lies and infidelities, of conceiving a child with his mistress while married, but some people will defend behaviour in Johnson that they would seriously condemn in a member of the public. Double standards.

Barmeyoldbat Wed 29-Apr-20 18:07:27

Chew, if your post refers to mine, then I would say I am pleased the baby is born safe but that is. Why should I go overboard on someone I don't know and don't particularly like. Also my life is far from sad and grey I am far more concerned about the number dying and the families left behind, children left without a parent or maybe two.

trisher Wed 29-Apr-20 18:06:24

Chewbacca why do some people want to live in cloud cuckoo land and project some feelings onto other posters that have never been expressed? I am ambivalent about this baby. I don't particularly care about him or his parents. And as for him being loved and much wanted perhaps he is just now but experience suggests that things may change and he may become just like his siblings, overlooked.

Lucca Wed 29-Apr-20 17:57:22

Blue sky yes but why corbyn ?? He’s not even leader of the opposition so how is he relevant ?

Chewbacca Wed 29-Apr-20 17:53:51

Why does their have to be a fun sponge on every thread? Do they trawl around every thread looking for the faintest glimmer of pleasure or happiness just so that they can suck the very life out of it? What miserable, sickly, grey little lives they must have that they can't find even the slightest glimmer of joy or pleasure that a new baby has been born and that it's healthy, loved and much wanted by his family.

BlueSky Wed 29-Apr-20 17:49:56

The fact that Boris has multiple children by various partner was mentioned and then the fact that Corbyn too has various children by different wives as well as a much younger present wife, like Johnson.

Barmeyoldbat Wed 29-Apr-20 17:49:17

I agree with Trisher, I really don't see what all the fuss is about. I am watching the afternoon briefing from the government and once again our part time pm has not appeared. I realise that he has just become a father but we are in a time of national crises, how long would it have taken him to appear. I fully expect a shout down from the Boris fan club but I feel I have should have my say, even if you don't agree.

Lucca Wed 29-Apr-20 17:47:51

It would appear so. Really silly. Whatever one thinks of Boris and his offspring bringing corbyn into it is bizarre to put it politely.

Ilovecheese Wed 29-Apr-20 17:46:11

There is no relevance Lucca , but just an excuse to make a nasty remark about Jeremy Corbyn

BlueSky Wed 29-Apr-20 17:44:34

I wouldn't have thought it of Corbyn, butter wouldn't melt...
