I learned to play the recorders and clarinet but, like MiniMoon, I never practised enough in my teenage years. I've tried to learn the piano several times but I can't seem to separate my left and right hands. They always follow each other no matter how hard I try sad

I could never get away with the recorder. I tried to learn it in primary school but was never very good. I took up the violin in secondary school which I really enjoyed. I could have been better but when you're a teenager you don't want to practice!
Good luck with the recorder, perseverance will pay off!
My sister learnt to play the guitar as an adult, I haven't tried to learn anything new, but I would love to learn to play piano (if we had one). sad

I have never been able to read music, let alone play an intrument. I tried when I was at school but just couldn't 'get it'. I decided to learn during lockdown and bought a recorder and beginner's book on-line. It is SO hard! I have learnt three notes and am on my fourth. I lack eye-brain-hand co-ordination and am struggling. DH is keeping quiet and out of the way. Anyone else trying something new?
