I've noticed a few more vivid dreams. One has even stayed with me.

Not relevant to anything, not scary or pleasant, just strange happenings. Mainly involving animals, funnily enough. Two beautiful, huge Dalmatians, a racehorse, and a small black bear.

I found this article that might explain...

I have had those nightmarish type dreams , you are in sleep its been around 3 in morning ,when I did get them .
Mind you the still air ,and that does not help .
One dream was i as somewhere like a former workplace , other one , involved an animal like a dog, and i started barking, weird .
I am on medication, so no side effects from them.

I had a lot of vivid ‘anxiety’ dreams at the start of all this but things are settling now. I’ve always dreamed at lot and in colour, but I assume this is just because my dreams often wake me so I remember them.

Towards the end of his life my father told me he used to meet the same people in his dreams. No one who he knew in real life. He thought he went to a parallel universe - but never admitted it to anyone else.

Same here NannyJan. I find the worst dreams are if I wake around 4am and drift back to sleep.

If I wake at that time I prefer to stay awake as I know I’ll head into a hellish dream

I have had lots of weird dreams too Beechnut which I makes me feel really upset when I wake. Luckily I cannot remember them in detail.

Don’t normally sleep well anyway, so I haven’t noticed a change in pattern. I do, however, dream a great deal. Lots of tosh, but have been dreaming of my childhood a Great deal more recently. I wonder why.

I’ve had a few dreams of late that I have found upsetting even on waking.

I am dreaming vividly at the moment, not pleasant dreams.
It’s all virus related.

I don't usually remember my dreams but I had a nightmare yesterday that I knew was a dream even while I was experiencing it (if that makes any sense).

I had been given a week's notice that I had to cover a Physics class but arrived having done no preparation. I stood in front of the class and couldn't even remember what Physics was supposed to be about.

I'd make an excuse and leave to wander around the college but some of the students would find me and drag me back to go through the whole humiliating thing again.

I haven't been dreaming either. I dont generally dream, or don't remember what I do dream.

DH has the most awful nightmares. He has lucid dreams and I think that he may have prophetic dreams but he will not talk about them however much I ask.

Puzzler61 Wed 06-May-20 20:53:01

No dreams, bad or otherwise. I don’t dream very often.
I do a lot of day-dreaming but that doesn’t count.

Grannybags Wed 06-May-20 20:52:10

No I haven't been dreaming any more than usual but I dream in colour too Sallywally

I always thought everyone did until I found out my Mum dreamt in black and white!

Alishka Wed 06-May-20 20:44:03

Just one, recently. I'm physically disabled now, and I dreamt I was in a wheelchair(I bought a motorized scooter some months ago cos I really can't walk now.) Anyway, in this dream I had a wheelchair and it had pink wheels! And I woke up but the pink wheels pleased me greatlygrin

I've been having some really weird dreams! Some of them are like a film, I swear if I could write them down before they disappear from your consciousness, I'd have screenplay ready to go!

Hetty58 Wed 06-May-20 20:22:24

Nope - but not an anxious sort of person anyway. I tend to put the radio on low and just drift off.

Sallywally1 Wed 06-May-20 20:19:54

Has anyone else been having difficult dreams since the advent of the virus? I have myself though I do have sleep problems anyway.

It seems lots of people do at the moment, as though we are dealing with a complex problem which we can do nothing about, anxiety related.

As an aside I always dream in colour!
