It’s a quiet night in the bar, the Admiral is slumbering on the rug in front of the log fire and Jason the Alsation is sat up alertly in a chair.Shouldn’t it be the other way around??
Thor and Kev are slumped behind the bar watching a tv show and I am slurping a large tia maria with my feet up and waiting for Soop to appear with our supper, she said she would be here with a basket of neep and tattie pastries, whatever they are.Am so peckish I would eat almost anything.

Almost anything is the right expression for soops cooking lemon ?. I will be providing my special welsh cakes for Friday night. All I need now is to find my griddle. Last time I saw it, it was under a pile of rubbish in the cellar and the ferrets were using it as a toilet. Quick wipe off and I will be ready for action in the kitchen ?

I'll start making some mead merched, good thing we have a bees nest up the garden. Shall we rename the bar for the night, how about ' LLAREGGUB'?? 'TIGER BAY'?? 'LLANFAIR PG'?? Any other suggestions, where was Fireman Sam from??

Neep and tattie nibblets left in the snug. A tad over cooked and frankly tasting like chewed leather. Tuck in. I shall feel put out if any are left over when I call in later. Sadly, leeks give me serious windy moments. Last time I had them for supper, I almost blew my knickers off.

No leeks here, but we have some seriously strong salad onions.
Think I should have pulled them earlier.

Yes, was served quickly (by Kev as it happens) and am now enjoying a large G&T with a slice of lime, and listening to the Admiral singing sea shanties....ah, this is the life!

Right I’ve rinsed the griddle under the two and knocked up my first batch of welsh cakes. Looking good I must say (although the underside looks a bit black ?)
I have dusted off my welsh hat and shawl. My giant blowup daffodil is outside the pub to attract customers ....or bees. I am ready for tomorrow ?

Have you booked the Tom Jones Tribute Act lemon? Women in the audience used to throw their knickers at him you know, soop will have to find hers first. She can wear a Welsh kilt for the evening, which tartan will she pick - a Parry? Pritchard? a Preece? I bet she'll choose to keep up with the Joneses ?
I've been down the beach collecting seaweed and it's boiling away nicely, so there'll be blinis with Laverbread tomorrow night - Welsh caviar. I just spotted Max Boyce re stringing his guitar muttering something like 'Duw it's hard' ?

I found another blow up daffodil to add a little symmetry to the bar entrance Doodle. Thor and big Kev have erected the LLAREGGUB SIGN over the bar. Just spotted Shakin Stevens having a glass of Welsh wine with Carillion, yes we have a vineyard in Wales you know. She looks a bit pie eyed already, hope she knows where the Ty Bach is.
The buffet is ready for later - laverbread blinis, Teisen lap ( a bit dry but nobody'll notice after a drink or ten), Lob Scouse, Caerphilly cheese scones and Glamorgan Sausages. Messers Lins and Carillion will man the BBQ tonight, prime Welsh Black beef burgers will be perfectly charred for your delectation ?

The bar looks great, have popped in early to wait for the tribute act ( Tom Jones) ......thought he could give me a private showing in the tap room first.
There was somebody on the phone earlier, could it be your surprise act Lins he called himself Yakky Darr or some such thing, is he foreign?

The Admiral and the Captain and Tony Badass will be along later, they said they will be dressed for the part ( which part?)

There are some peppermints on the bar to counteract the lingering leek breath Puzzler61. BoJo's rules don't apply after crossing Offa's Dyke Maw and as you know the Argy never closes for business.
Carillion's up on stage now, I love ?Lost in France ??? can't keep a good girl down, you'd think she'd know the way home though.......
