If Barclays is struggling I don’t think there’s much hope for the rest NotAGran . Still it seems those of us who have been left behind are being offered £100 compensation. I would tell them where they could shove it if I weren’t so bloomin’ desperate .

To apply with a different bank you have to open a new business account with them .

Good morning Mike from a frosty Oxfordshire, so pleased that I resisted the urge to plant out my seedlings this week , the sun is shining but it’s zero degrees so I’m happy that the heating is on. Where did Summer go?
Still coming to terms with the death of MIL we hadn’t been able to see her since early March and it’s difficult to remember that she is no longer with us. Funeral on Friday, and a zoom meeting Afterwards for all of us that can’t go in person.

A day in the factory today as DH is having a day off. He has to do his online speed awareness course today too.
First I will walk to the garage to pick my car up and then return home £380 lighter and drop it off then walk to work with the pooch.

We went to the forest yesterday and the rhodedendruns were out in full blowsy bloom. Well some of them were. Lots more to come. So beautiful. ! Very quiet and peaceful there, only saw another couple and a man with 2 children. Car park still closed.

My elderly SIS had to have her cat put to sleep yesterday and she’s so sad. She’s always had cats and she has another old girl with only 3 legs and terribly over weight, so I don’t think she’ll be long for this world. I fear a depression coming on. ?. I’ll send flowers ?

A walk along the beach today and a bit of shopping. I’ve lost motivation for gardening and housework. The novelty has worn off. ?. Kind thoughts to all ?

Nothing new to report to be honest but at the risk of upsetting a certain someone’s very delicate disposition .....the morons at Barclays still haven’t got their act together, despite banking with them for over 26 years. I know I’m not the only one as there are thousands of us left out in the cold. So much for loyalty. Another day of being on hold and fobbed off .

I think he thought he was painting the fence, not touching up my roots! Feels much better anyway. A walk today to post a friend's birthday card. We'll do about 3-5 miles. As we can't go to the gym, this is our preferred way of exercise for now. Don't know what we keep finding to talk about! Have a good day everyone. Weekly highlight is the shopping trip to Waitrose straight after the vulnerable slot this morning.

Other excitement includes moving stuff from the garage into the new shed that my husband and son erected over the weekend.

My husband bought one in John Lewis on the Saturday before lockdown in anticipation. He couldn’t do his own and my son has become the resident barbour.

Same old ... oh, painter is dropping paint off before starting on Monday. At last, the insurance has paid off for making good the subsidence. The saga has been going on for over 6 years... a long haul, but the house is being entirely redecorated for “free”.

Really exciting day at Lester Towers today. A Sainsbury's delivery this afternoon and this morning we have to record a birthday message for dgd3's birthday. DH is talking party hats and balloons.

He has also started selling stuff on Ebay and up to now has sold a 1937 typewriter and 2 blanket boxes - I aim to keep moving just to be on the safe side
