I was simply trying to pay you a compliment even though my guess that you had been Jalima was wrong, but you appeared to have similar impeccable tastes. For example, she had enquired last year for details of costs of riding on the Ghan from Darwin, but only platinum class, top price, over $6,000 one-way!

I changed my name, which is my real name, a few years ago when some GN threads were published in the press, with user names.
Also there are at least 2 other gransnetters who have the same real name as me.

M0nica did get upset a while ago when she was rather picked on, but I can't remember which thread it was. She said she was leaving. Maybe she has. Hopefully she'll come back under a new name - or perhaps she has!

I can’t imagine M0nica being chased off. She always dealt with the nonsense on here calmly and fairly, ime. I miss her common sense and informative posts.

I hope she’s ok. It’s awful not knowing. Perhaps HQ could just say whether she has left or is not posting? If she's left at least we’ll know she is ok.

We did have a discussion about this some time ago.
I have a GN friend who would ring me if I didn't post for some time, also I have told my D to ring her if the "worst " should happen.

Yes I found that callistemon she hasn’t closed her account which is more worrying really let’s hope she’s just having a break and will pop up again
I used to belong to a local forum and there was a lovely lady who I ‘talked‘ to, an ex nurse, one day she just stopped posting out of the blue, it was about five years ago I ve never heard a word since, no one on the site knew her personally or her name so we never had any clue if she was just fed up or something worse
