Good morning all from a wet and miserable Glasgow.
After being ready to post, just after Urmston, I lost it all! I bet you are all relieved!

Urmston, your day with your friends seems lovely, well deserved, you have long waited for it. ? I miss that part of my lunch so much.

DD keeps phoning from Morrison's, God bless her, asking do I want things which aren't on the list. grin. I'm getting really distracted, ungrateful person that I am.

A day for the. house is planned. As Safeguarding Coordinator for our church, my inbox if full of admin, concerning the gradual opening of churches.
Along with the Parish Priest, it is my responsibility to ensure the safety of parishoners, but as I'm shielding, it's a bit of a nightmare.
I shall be forced to delegate and to be honest, I'm quite relieved.
I feel I have become a bit insular during lockdown, does anyone feel that way?

I got an absolue bargain for my friend across the road's birthday from QVC yesterday.
She had been considering buying a pair of Adesso shoes, (so comfortable) from Pavers, but felt they were a bit expensive for her.
As she is size three, I managed to get a pair reduced to £11.95 on QVC. They make a will make a perfect bithday present for her in a few weeks.

Yesterday was spent mainly in the garden, but it was pretty cold.
I took all my frustrations and anger at being in for another twelve weeks, out on some briars and bushes which were coming through our fence and posing a danger to pedestrians. Everything is growing at some speed just now. DH has been promising for days to do it, but like my heart, he keeps breaking his promises! ?
He was shamed by his golf partner, who came over offering to help, as of course, I shouldn't have been doing it! blush

Have a good day all and mumofmadboys enjoy your cycle ride.
Wondering how BlueSapphire is. ?

Good morning everyone from a cloudy drizzling Inverness . The sky is just a light grey colour so maybe it will dry up a bit later - fingers crossed

No idea what to do today ..... DH is off to DD garden , she’s got him very well organised with various garden jobs so he won’t be sitting around in the rain ? ... they’ve turned their dining room into a makeshift classroom for the DGC , I’ve only seen it through the window but it looks really good with lots of artwork and posters on the wall and the books, pens, crayons etc neatly set out on the sideboard , they’ve tried really hard bless !

Oooh I’d like to get in the mood for cleaning scentia - I might try get some done later ....

I’m seriously impressed with your cycling mumofmadboys - well done ? - and what a lovely setting , I love Bassenthwaite !

Hope all GNs having family catch ups have a lovely time but whatever you’re doing today I hope it goes well

Take care all ?

Good morning from east London, grey outside and there’s been a bit of mizzle. My weather forecast shows no rain expected for the 2 hours when I’m at tennis this morning; I think sometimes it shows what I want to see. Did my shop yesterday, got DP’s precious chilli sausages but he’s going to have to wait for his chilli baked beans. Garden shed arrives today, any time after 8.30; hope it fits ok on the base as DP has worked so hard to get it ready. I’m off to ice the cherry Madeira cake I made for him yesterday. Got to go as the shed’s just arrived and I have to open up the back gate. Have a good day.

Good Morning everyone from a wet Severnside.

You have my dream bedroom Grandmafrench. Doors opening onto a terrace/patio with white flimsy curtains blowing gently in the breeze ? Probably won’t happen in my own home unless I start sleeping in the dining room.

No plans really so far for today so I think I’ll just take it as it comes.

Have a good day all ?

Good morning from Cumbria! Thinking of getting up! I am trying to cycle around Bassenthwaite each morning to get fitter. It is 20 miles and fairly flat. I think I am just getting bigger thighs! I do love starting the day like this.

Morning Mick , morning All. Grey sky this morning, a heavy feel to our corner of Somerset. Dust removal for me today so the weather matters not. Feel weary after a disturbed night, seems a lot of it about. Be gentle with yourselves everyone.

Good morning Mick and all from cloudy, showery Worcs.
It should clear up later. I hope so as a visit to my sister’s is planned - we may end up sitting inside an open-fronted barn building - 2 metres apart - with our coats on.
DH’s man cave carpet was fitted yesterday, after a 12 week postponement, and very nice it looks too. 2 fitters arrived punctually, wearing masks, and they had the job done in 30 mins or so (the room was emptied beforehand). We have had all our carpets from Carpetright and never had problems,

Expecting some deliveries today: pet food (we bulk buy), canvas wall art ordered last Friday, and a Sainsbury’s food delivery. Enough to keep me busy today.

Some grans are struggling more with worries and pain this week and I hope they find solace. I think we all coped better when we had warm sunny days. Urmstongran has borrowed the sunshine for the time being, but it will come back ?

Good Morning from a drizzly Fife, it's not very nice looking out today. Carol the weather girl tells me too it will be like this for a few days. Up earlier this morning and DH has a designated time at the refuse tip with several bags he needs to get rid of. Other than that, not sure what the day will bring. It certainly will feel longer with being up earlier and the weather not being quite so nice. I'm sure I will find something to do. Hoping everyone keeps their chin up despite the weather. Keep calm everyone.

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire. Damp and Drizzling here. Off to the factory this morning as we have orders?!!!!
Once I’d had a sleep yesterday morning I got up in a cleaning mood and the house looks like a show home ? I have days like that and I just can’t stop cleaning. I have put special locks on my kitchen cupboards in anticipation of DGS being able to visit as DD said he is into absolutely everything and for a boy who’s only been walking for a month, ‘can’t half shift!’ I am so looking forward to the day we can look after him in the house again, my DD is in early pregnancy exhaustion at the moment! I really want to help her out by taking him for the day or going into her house and setting to in her kitchen. (She was never very lively before pregnancy to be honest??)
After I weighed myself the other day, for the first time in years I am trying to watch how much I eat, I do tend to eat a lot of crisps and biscuits so I will have to find another job in the house to take my mind off food!!
I do hope that everyone has the best day possible, and send some of your sun over here Urms now the gardens have had a water we need it back.

Grrr. Awake by 0530

grandMattie Wed 10-Jun-20 07:07:33

Good morning from an overcast E Kent.
I overslept! An extremely rare occurrence as I’m normally awake and up by 9530. Don’t normally sleep well.
Supermarket today, and usual foray to farm shop for asparagus. Only a week or so left. They pick between St. George’s day and Midsummer day.
Seeing DS1 and GS for lunch toady. First time we’re seeing the lad since Christmas. Shame we can’t hug him. But it’ll be fantastic.
urms you are so kind. I hope I have neighbours like you when I’m that old.
marydoll I trust your pain is tolerable today. Ditto for the rest of you in pain/trouble/distress.
Stay safe, stay well.

Morning early birds Mick and Urmstongran!

Had my monthly lousy night’s sleep so will need a siesta later - no rhyme or reason just couldn’t drop off and have learned to accept it as a one-off and be grateful for the mostly good nights I’m like the proverbial!

Have a good day everyone and stay safe whatever exciting things lie ahead for you today?

Urmstongran Wed 10-Jun-20 06:45:16

Sun’s up here! ?
Good morning everyone from Malaga ?

We’ve decided to head down to the beach again. Himself is just off for his brisk walk first. I shall make egg mayo on soft rolls and will pack apples!

I finished the Hilary Mantel on Monday at the beach. It was a brilliant novel. I’ve put ‘Killing Eve’ on my Kindle for today. I don’t watch tv much but I’ve heard about the drama series from others so thought I’d give the book a go.

Yesterday’s LWW was wonderful. I felt a bit emotional seeing my friends again. My friend along the landing didn’t join us but said she’s planning to come along next week. I took her a G&T and a plate of beef dinner as a consolation prize when I got back.
?

Hope Wednesday is good to us all. Thinking of you each day BlueSapphire. Keep safe everyone that’s the main thing. x

Good Morning Everyone,
Its grey and wet start here in Brackley this morning , my usual shop .
What will have to eat over the weekend etc, plus I have 2 items I ordered online with John Lewis to pick up from Waitrose.
What I gather as to pubs /cafes ?restaurants reopening is July 4th, but I also gather some MP`s want the "m ruling relaxed to maybe 1.5m or 1m .
Take Care ,
Mick
