Good Morning Everyone,
Its dry , bright and sunny here in Brackley this morning.
Anyway , my planned bus trip to see what Bicester was like afar 12 weeks , gave a mixed day OK going out and then an hour later caught the bus to the terminus at Bicester Village Rail Station , got back on the bus ,and i minute later the bus stop , it would not restart , anyway the driver and myself being only passenger , talked about I was going to get back home , with limiter rail to get to Banbury and bus from there the option of a free taxi ride paid by the bus operator as it was not my fault the bus broke down, mind you yesterday being the 13th made it a bit different .
Got home safe , said thank you to taxi driver ,and then tweeted the bus operator as well.
Adventurous day ending with a Chinese Take Away.
Take Care ,
Mick

Good morning from a foggy NE.
It rained most of yesterday even though it was mild.
Very long phone call with my sister last night, she is exhausted and will be on her own now till my DD returns on the eve of the funeral.
DH bought a newspaper yesterday and left it in the dining room, it should be safe to handle today so I will do the crossword.
Sixteen weeks since I have been in contact with anyone other than DH, we will do whatever it takes to keep safe.
Take care everyone.

Good morning from a warm breezy Morecambe Bay. Feeling tired this morning so DH has gone for another run leaving me in bed, although I’ve got up and done a few little jobs. Next on the list is the cutlery drawer. How do they get so messy? We were in bed late last night because our next door neighbour had the family round for a bbq. They consider themselves a musical family and it was loud karaoke until midnight. We did escape it for a couple of hours by driving to the beach and watching the sun go down.
After waiting 6 weeks for my trainers they arrived at 10am yesterday just hours after Hermes said they had them. They are exactly as I had hoped and were not substituted for something inferior. They fit and are very comfy. I broke them in by taking them on a longish walk. I’m even risking ordering another pair!
Wishing everyone a good day. Take care and stay safe.?

Good Morning everyone. Hot, sunny morning and dark blue skies here in the South of France.

A slow do-as-you please day here. Cats are already stretched out on the courtyard tiles oblivious to the darting dragonflies that are everywhere at present. I know they do so much good, munching mozzies and other insects, but I’m not a fan. I think they’re too big and fly too low for me, especially in confined spaces. However do need some help, especially with the black fly. I shall have to spray some things (again) today I fear. Noticed a lot of teeth marks in my orange leaves - we seem to get one determined praying mantis that will sit in my (waist high) tree and just eat. I shall ask DH to catch him and escort him to the vineyards. I shall photograph him first for later identification (and interrogation?), I think. He turns his head and watches me whenever I approach, so it would seem neither of us is very keen to start a friendship ! Over to you, DH.

And I’ve just seen a huge Swallowtail float past my window. I shall get up and into the day before it gets away from me.

Garlic and rosemary roast chicken quarters, tray baked veggies and roast smashed potatoes and a delicious glass or two of very cold wine for supper. Hairdresser ?‍♀️ in the morning.....hooray hooray.

Have the best day, nice people - whether reading, gardening, walking ‘bubbling’ or just being. Be safe and happy.
Hugs from ????

Good Morning from foggy Fife, it's another miserable day here. This is my 3rd time trying to post, we've had 3 power cuts in the last 25 minutes so here goes again. Will be brief. It's Sunday again just don't know where the days go too. Thank you to Grandmafrench and Granmaretto for your advice on sore backs yesterday. I truly am suffering at the moment and had a terrible night last night. I won't go on as it's nothing compared to lots on here. Hoping today will be nice to everyone, look after yourselves. We are getting nearer.

Good Morning to you all, from a bright, very warm & muggy N.,Cambs.,

Quite an adventure you had yesterday Mick, after quiet 12 weeks.

Have as good a day as possible folks.

Greyduster Sun 14-Jun-20 10:00:14

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A dull but dry start in South Yorkshire. Mick that was a bit of an adventure you had - glad to hear you got home okay! I spent most of yesterday afternoon making a couple of masks for GS. He seemed to think he ought to have one for going to the local farm shop to buy vegetables for his guinea pigs (and their nice bread!)?. He was so fussy about the fabric (any one of of Grandad’s old work shirts) that you’d have thought it was Saville Row suiting he was choosing! “Sir would look very nice in this. No? Okay then!” Not much to do today - I may sort out my mouldering fishing tackle. Roast chicken for dinner. Have a good day one and all.

Grandmafrench Sun 14-Jun-20 10:02:28

Little boys are so funny! That’s a lovely story Gd ?

Froglady Sun 14-Jun-20 10:09:06

Nice day so far, so must go outside and pot up plants. Bought some sweet peas on Friday and three climbing plants which need to be potted up otherwise I have just wasted my money. So hopefully the good weather will last long enough for me to be able to get done what is needed; and I can't work for long without having to take a break as it hurts my back too much! The things I do to have a lovely looking garden.

Grammaretto Sun 14-Jun-20 10:34:43

Good morning everyone from the Scottish Borders, where it may as well be winter. Totally dreich.
If it belongs to you Gillybob you can have it back!
Your trip yesterday Mick sounds far too exciting. I do hope you get to Bicester eventually.

I can feel your joy grandMattie to have your DS home even for a short time.
Brunette sorry about your back. Strong pain killers?
A talk to a doctor or an osteopath? Back pain is disabling but invisible.
We had a surprise visit from our DS#1 yesterday. He didn't stay long , no hugs but he told us how the DGC were getting on . You can't boast properly on zoom!

In the evening we had the family quiz on zoom which has now extended to DD's inlaws and nieces and all.

Have a lovely Sunday all of you with no mishaps.

Good Morning All x
What a storm last night ! The flashes of lightening were spectacular, one flash after another and sheet lightening that lights up the sky.

I had to turn the comp off in case I got struck as it wouldn't be the first time I've had a modem strike. However, I thought it might have cleared the air, but it looks as though we're going to suffer again.

Clouds are hovering overhead for another volley. I can put up with it in the daytime but not at night so much as it unnerves me a bit. It lashed it down too----stair-rods.

An " alien " dinner to try today grin When D went to M&S and brought bag two large lucky bags of shopping, it included a couple of their ready meals and todays is braised lamb with redcurrant and mint sauce. My D knows I do my own but thought it would be a treat and added " I'd have to do extra potatoes to fill me up"----not greedy I just like a lot !
Beggars can't be choosers smile

Grandmafrench, your home sounds idyllic with the " menagerie " of birds and insects, absolutely beautiful to have such creatures around----even though they eat your stock.
I love anything like that. I'd be happy living in a tent surrounded by nature with all the flora and fauna.
When in Oz, I used to catch insects and feed them to Fred, the large blue-tongue lizard who used to visit and I had the kookaburra's eating out of my hand ( and pecking my fingers )

Mick, I'd have been beside myself in your situation so I'm glad that things worked out for you. What a relief.

Considering we've all been stuck indoors, the time does go quickly as many of you have said. I'll say it again though, I'm glad it's not winter !

Another day of nothingness but it's all in a good cause grin

I wish those who are suffering an easy day and understand how difficult these times can be x

Everyone stay safe and well xx

Good morning all, especially gillybob, harrigran and mrswoo, as we seem to be in the same neck of the woods!

Where did that sun go? At least the rain on Friday meant queuing outside Sainsbury’s.

Haven’t really got a plan for today. I shall get DH up and downstairs as DD2 says she’ll come for coffee (Consultant thinks it’s important he sees DDs if they are willing) then a bit of ‘jobbing on’ as we say up here.

Hope everyone stays safe.

Georgesgran Sun 14-Jun-20 10:41:39

No queuing outside Sainsbury’s!

Gwenisgreat1 Sun 14-Jun-20 11:28:26

Good Morning all,
Harrogate seems dry with a glimmer of light that might turn into sunshine? Today I have to get to grips with why my laptop won't upgrade. I was told to put my 800+ photos in another file which I did now can't find them!!!
They are still on my phone and ipad, so shouldn't be too difficult

Lins1066 Sun 14-Jun-20 11:28:51

Good Morning Mick and all . Glad you got home safely Mick.
It is cloudy and warmish here on the S Welsh coast. Late posting today, I have had a late breakfast sitting in the kitchen watching a blackbird feeding a younger one some worms out on the lawn. The birdsong is blissful.
Our DS and partner brought us some shopping yesterday, it was lovely to see them and we had some socially distanced coffee and Millionaire's Yumnuts sitting in the garden.
Nothing planned for today except finishing a tricky sudoku and reading all the posts.
Stay safe everyone.

Good morning from a slightly bright grey day in Glasgow. Just checking it is in fact Sunday today as I am losing the plot with having no reason to check what day it is. I did Marydoll’s Friday puzzle yesterday and sent her my answer!??‍♀️

You must be thrilled to bits to have your DS home grandMattie. So happy for you.

Sorry to hear your back is still very painful. Brunette. It does sound as if stronger painkillers and rest are needed until you are through the worst.

A bit of this and a bit of that day ahead, always something to keep me busy or like you Urmstongran I always have a book on the go to escape into a different world.

Best wishes BlueSapphire, annsixty and jacq. Hoping your day is a bit better?

Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning for sunny Surrey, just spent an hour in the garden planting some herbs, after spending a lot of money in the garden centre yesterday. Went out for our first drink yesterday- found a pub where they serve drinks outside- never seen so many people together in the last 3 months. Great atmosphere.have a good day everyone.

Puzzler61 Sun 14-Jun-20 12:54:47

Good afternoon Mick and All - I missed the morning !

So glad you are all safe after bus breakdowns and thunderstorms I’ve read about upthread. Grandmattie bet you have to pinch yourself to believe your DS in the UK and you’ll see him soon, Brunette sorry to hear your back is so painful still, and uplifting to read Urmstongran and Grandmafrench’s posts - living it up in the sun ☀️

We’re moving pictures around on the walls (and knocking the dust off) today, and I’m repacking some boxes of DD2’s
belongings we have brought from her to store in our loft.

Roast chicken for tea, and as the vegetables I have are looking drab I’ll tootle across to the Fruit Shack for some fresh. It’s a 10 minute walk and the veg and fruit comes fresh from farms and markets each day. I hope they have cherries today - got some last week and they were luscious.

Wishing everyone the best day possible ?

CherryCezzy Sun 14-Jun-20 13:34:27

Good afternoon Mick and everyone from a beautifully sunny Gower.

I slept in late this morning (9:01am) and felt incredibly guilty so after a quick cuppa and breakfast I set to some chores, yes all before having a shower blush. I have showered now though !

Marydoll, sounds like you had a lovely day seeing your family yesterday, despite the rain ?, you too Gingster (even if one visitor talked your head off).

Nortsat, sorry to hear that you are not feeling too well at the moment ?

I hope day by day you are feeling a bit stronger BlueSapphire.

*Susan, it would be lovely to see you posting back soon.

A little pottering around the garden for me today and a chicken dinner later. My latest sketch has gone back to the drawing board but I don't think I'll get round to another today ?.

Mick, that was quite an adventure you had yesterday, glad you are safe and sound ?.

Take care everyone, stay safe and have a good Sunday ❤️

Can I say Good Evening everyone? It's our 51st wedding celebration and we have just opened a very expensive bottle of champagne left over from our Golden Wedding celebrations last year (which was a present). And we are just so glad that our Golden wedding was last year when we could celebrate with our friends and family. So cheers everyone. We have just enjoyed the bubbly sitting in the late evening sunshine. God bless!

Megs36 Sun 14-Jun-20 20:52:32

Patsy Congratulations and best wishes.?

Patsy429 Sun 14-Jun-20 21:10:07

Thank you Mega 26. Mum is home now but in a lot of pain, she has ulcers on her foot and was given an antibiotic whist at the hospital. Have to go back on Wednesday to see if any improvements.
