Good Morning Everyone,
Its grey and wet here in Brackley this morning.
Yesterday, caught the bus to Buckingham and did a Lidl shop , got what I wanted and returned .
Very few bus users , think Grant Shapps is sending out the wrong message ,as there are people out there using buses is maybe there only means of getting out and about .
Made a Chicken Curry yesterday not in slow cooker but in the frying pan , have got four separate portions including rice out of it will freeze for later .
Take Care ,
Mick

So pleased to hear you are doing ok BlueSapphire. Wish we could help with the anxieties you are having just now but I do wish you will soon notice them subsiding gradually until you feel stronger again. X?

Thank you Mick for thoughtfully passing on your news.

Like everyone on here I am wishing Marydoll all the best for tomorrow. Thanks Kula for your wee post - needed a laugh today. Weather pretty rubbish up here in the north but waiting for DGS to arrive with his Dad which will brighten up my day.

Good luck to Marydoll re your treatment tomorrow. I have not kept up in the past with it all and would be interested as a retired nursing professional to understand which treatment you are having for which condition.
My very best wishes from Carole.flowers

Thank you all so much for your birthday greetings. Had a lovely, if slightly tearful chat with DD1 and 3 granddaughters. I do miss them all as well as DD2 and my other 2 granddaughters.
Very best wishes to Marydoll for tomorrow and hugs and flowers for Hollysteers.
Kalu ???

You can do so much better than waste time on "friends" who could let you down in that way - and more than once - holly.
Hopefully with your rotten Shingles getting better and your tears dried, you'll be able to come up with a better plan for some garden entertainment. Do you know anyone very near your home who might welcome a garden chat and some tea? Bet there are many that would be eager to pay you a visit and sit in such welcoming surroundings for an hour or so. Perhaps a note through a near neighbour's door would do the trick and help to lift your spirits? Hope you have a better week and the sun shines for you.

Newquay - évidemment, mais pour ce père juste un coup d'oeil au Zoom ce soir, comme d'hab ! Santé (et profitez de la votre?)

Just dropped in to wish marydoll best wishes for tomorrow. I hope all goes without a hitch and I'm sure you will face the day with your usual good humour.
Wishing sar a very happy birthday flowersand cupcake
hollysteers sending you a hug. I hope you are feeling a bit brighter today. I once had a "friend" who would do the same to me. So hurtful and unnecessary.

Good morning Mick and the GM team, from a warm but grey east London.

We very much enjoyed our film, Finding Almira with Antonio Banderas yesterday, about the discovery of the pre historic cave paintings in Spain. We would recommend it.

I have made a slow cooked boeuf bourguignon for supper this evening and used up some scraps of red wine (waste not want not - as all our mother’s probably said!).

Birthday greetings to Sar and all good wishes for tomorrow to Marydoll.
Have a pleasant day all and ?to those who need them, especially Blue Sapphire if she’s reading ...

SusieB50 Sun 21-Jun-20 11:56:46

Happy birthday Sar from a slightly cloudy East London , but a promise of sunnier weather later .The rain has made my “wild garden “ look even greener .I have spent a long time cutting back, then see all the bumble bees on the bramble flowers and buttercups and stop again !
Going to cook a lasagna today for youngest DGS ,who loves “Grandma’s” and will keep a couple of portions in the freezer for myself . It does give the incentive to cook as really can’t be bothered for just me . SiL still living in hope we may be able to get to France for a holiday this summer . He has just sent me an email with a selection of Abnb houses !

Morning all from an overcast, breezy but warmish Gower.
I've got two loads of washing on the line so it had better not rain!

Happy Birthday Sar, hope the weather improves and you really enjoy your day ? ?.

hollysteers, pleased to hear your shingles is calming down. It's an unpleasant illness to go through so I hope you now have a full and speedy recovery ?

My very best wishes for tomorrow Marydoll, for your long overdue treatment. I hope it goes well and there are no hiccups. Come back fit and hearty and with an exuberant novella.
You'll have to dig out that sticking blue outfit now that Maw has reminds you ?

BlueSapphire, thinking of you, hope you are feeling stronger day by day ?

Take care everyone, be kind to yourselves ❤️

A late Good Morning to all from a warm, overcast and breezy Stockport.
Just to say Happy Birthday to Sar, hope all meeting up with family have a good day and very best wishes to our dear Marydoll with hopes for a successful treatment with no reactions, then it can all go ahead safely.

Morning all,

Bright and breezy at the moment along with some dark clouds looming. We may get a shower or it might just pass us by.

Happy birthday Sar - enjoy your day. ???

Everything crossed for tomorrow, Marydoll. ?

Not sure what I'll be up to today, though I might finish the bit of ironing in the basket. So exciting! ??

Nannytopsy Sun 21-Jun-20 11:23:29

PS Happy Birthday Sar thanks and good luck tomorrow Marydoll!

mumofmadboys Sun 21-Jun-20 11:21:47

Thinking of you tomorrow Marydoll.
Wet here in Cumbria but still did my cycle ride as usual. Enjoyed a hot shower when I got back. Have had Zoom church this morning. Must motivate myself now to do some cleaning! Have a good day everyone.

Nannytopsy Sun 21-Jun-20 11:20:52

Good morning Mick and the rest of the gang. A very slow start for me after a broken night. Yesterday’s painting was a disaster so sanding again and then off to buy new oil-based undercoat and top coat. Water based paint is the invention of the devil even if it easy to clean the brushes!
Hope the day is kind to everyone.

Mornin’ all from the west coast with sun, wind and rain. Feeling better as shingles calming down, can’t carry on worrying about children and jobs and hopefully this virus will calm down too. Started a new book about Dorothy Wordsworth as needed a break from fiction.
I arranged coffee in the garden yesterday for two friends, one couldn’t come as shielding and the other let me down under an hour before. I’m really surprised how upset I was over such a small thing. I had set up my egg chair with cushions for her, made up a nice tray, put flowers on the outside table, even had a SHOWER ? put my make up on and did my hair and was looking forward to hearing her news (being on my own at the mo) She’s let me down before and I’m not perfect but it triggered something and I couldn’t stop crying all day, thinking about my late husband etc etc,
Exercising today and carrying on sorting all these bloody papers from days gone by...

Morning everyone. Here in Sherwood it's windy but dry and sunny. It was raining at 5am . Lots of housework to do today so l must push myself to get it done. Started Saturday but didn't get much done. I visited my middle sister swapped some fruit and vegetables for a bag of books. Who knew it would be so noisy living next door to a park. Families and dogs all day then after dark a group of people drinking shouting swearing etc luckily it didn't go on too long this time it was 2 30am when they eventually decided to go home Friday morning. Hope you all have a good day.

gillgran Sun 21-Jun-20 10:43:59

Good Morning to you all from Cambs., It's bright here now, after a dull, drizzly start.

Happy Birthday Sar.

All good wishes for Marydoll.
