How will we cope?

Callistemon Wed 24-Jun-20 15:39:12

I just checked, I did go up a size but the orthotics take up quite a bit of room.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 24-Jun-20 15:29:45

Thanks I’ll have a look.

Callistemon Wed 24-Jun-20 15:21:27

I think they must be wider fit, I can fit orthotics in mine and I don't think I had to go up a size.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 24-Jun-20 15:10:33

I am a wide fitting. Are Skechers wide?

Whitewavemark2 Wed 24-Jun-20 15:09:58

???

Blimey just had a look!!

Buy one get one free and I have never seen such cheap shoes.

So useful!
What on earth can you do with only one shoe ?

Callistemon Wed 24-Jun-20 15:08:27

They have Skechers trainers there for £69.99, not cheap, but if you get two pairs for the price of one that's a bargain.

We could all help to save Shoezone!

Irony RoseNoir.
BUT i have just found out that shoezone are only closing small stores and are branching out selling Clarkes and other top makes on-line and they are cheaper than in the shops.

Callistemon Wed 24-Jun-20 14:56:25

I've chatted to you Megs36

(Perhaps you don't recognise me without my onesie, it's too hot to wear it today.)

Megs36 Wed 24-Jun-20 14:53:48

Yes rosenoir I agree , and Maw I’m not paranoid, been posting a couple of years and rarely get a ‘reply’, still the new girl!!!

Squiffy Wed 24-Jun-20 14:50:25

Oh no you’re not! I am! ??

This thread is a bit of fun as we have had a poster ( school age I should think) who thought they would prank the grannies by asking constantly about shoe zone products. It became a running joke. When they tired of that prank they moved on to the subject of onesies.
Nobody is belittling the shops Shoe Zone, they do an excellent job of selling footwear at very affordable prices.
I ordered two pairs of very nice sandals online which turned out to be Shoe Zone, and very comfortable they are too.
My hotter sandals, bought only last year were rubbing my toes, and the year before that my Clarks sandals rubbed my heels. So there you are. I tend to live in Skechers now including their own sandals, but if you can ring the changes cheaply, why not.
Not all of their stores are closing, just some btw and you can buy online, in fact they have probably done very well online over the last few months, which may be the factor for certain stores closure now.
Hope this clears things up for all who thought there was sneering.....although it has to be said that certain posters hadn’t read the posts properly as there are several explanations on here already.
Now, can anyone tell me where to find a leopardskin onesie?

Callistemon Wed 24-Jun-20 14:31:03

rosenoir

I`m going down on one knee.

What does that mean?

Yes, the posts do sound sneery but then there is often some in joke going on or a certain group that always back each other up whatever the subject, maybe they are all one person.

Lucca

Callistemon Plimsolls, daps.....my ex called them “gutties “

gutties another word to worry about grin

They're known as sandshoes or keds in Australia

Callistemon Wed 24-Jun-20 14:25:00

Oldwoman70

Off topic but the use of the word daps to describe plimsolls is mainly used in the West Country and is thought to have derived from the fact they were made by Dunlop Athletic Plimsolls

Yes, I only just found that out by googling this morning, Oldwoman70

I'd never heard the word before I moved to Wales and the nursery teacher told me that DD2 would need black pull-on daps in school. She might have meant a onesie, of course.
confused

Grannybags Wed 24-Jun-20 14:16:33

My sides are aching now! ?

^It seems some people are on here all day everyday, the half a dozen people that dominate this forum all agree with everything each says, they seem to have very similar homes and gardens, shown in posted pics and even buy their clothes from the same places^

This way paranoia lies confused

And how would you know unless you were too ?,!

kittylester Wed 24-Jun-20 13:39:21

No one is agreeing with anyone. It was a source of amusement for quite a while.

Some newer members won't get the reference but that doesn't mean those of us who do should miss the chance for a giggle!!

Squiffy Wed 24-Jun-20 13:30:19

Rosenoir the link I posted was just intended as an example! I didn't (and don't intend to) track down the entire history of the saga!

As for your other comments ..... confused

I'm off to Real Life now!
