Hmmmm. It's obvious that a lot of Grans don't 'get' why many of us are not taking this very seriously. This is a legacy from a series of threads posted using some of the key words used. We often found that they were posted at half term or during school holidays.
We are not sneering at Shoe Zone itself. It's just a shame that someone fixated on it in these odd threads.

As I started the thread, I think I should explain!

A while ago, the start of school holidays was marked by people making silly posts on here about their difficulty of choosing whether to but Van's ( at a very high price) for a granddaughter and only buying their dgs caps from Shoes Zone!

We then moved to buying onesies!!

At least that is my recollection.

Personally, I gave missed the posts!! It helped to remind us that the children had broken up.

Welbeck, it is closing 20 stores so there will still be 470 left.

A lot of snooty comments on here from the more elderly generation who should know better.

If plimsoles can’t be found, Vans would be a good alternative to last the school year. Even through winter.

as someone living on less than 10 pounds a day, i feel a lot of this sneering is inconsiderate.

I actually like Shoezone, had some very comfy shoes from there at times,when funds were low

DGS's feet grow so quickly, he needs new daps every term.

Oh that's a real shame, the poor staff. Whats weird is that they recently had a BOGOF sale and I bought two nice pairs of summer sandals and only paid for one and two pairs of slippers and paid for one pair. Its fine for those us who can't afford Clarks for something they will probably only wear for one season.
