I love a hug, always claim one wherever I can and always give one too whenever I can.

Yesterday, my eldest daughter in the morning and her sister in the afternoon. We’ve always hugged and kissed each other.

From my precious grandson 2 days ago ?

Today. From the bloke and lots to and from grandson.

Other than grandson, I'm not that bothered. There are benefits to being an introvert.

This afternoon, we often hug if we feel like it.?

Grandmafrench Thu 02-Jul-20 21:35:42

Practice on the little GC's and then on good tactile friends and your animals - and each other. Change the habits of a lifetime, it's never too late to show how you feel. Just go for it. Everyone needs a cuddle.

Most mornings when we are just awake, but never during the day. No idea why - just habit perhaps. Neither of us came from very demonstrative families. Still looking forward to the next GC hug.

I was just thinking that this morning as I had disapproving Victorian style parents.

kircubbin2000 Thu 02-Jul-20 21:24:38

About 8 years ago. Not expecting any more.??

DH wasn’t a cuddling person, but by the time the children came along he had changed, now we hug often, just a walk across the room and he’ll give me a hug.
Why not be the one to start changing? Just walk across the kitchen and give him a quick hug before you give him a cup of tea or something ?
It’s never too late.

When did you last have a cuddle, and be held tight?
I was just thinking, I'd love my husband to hold me tight and make me feel safe from the world. He won't, not because he doesn't love me, he does, but because he's not a 'cuddles' person. Neither of us are physically demonstrative, we missed out on the cuddles as children, and grew up two damaged souls. Just occasionally, I really wish I could be held tight, not in a sexual way, but just a 'let go of all my worries', way, to feel that I don't have the world on my shoulders!
