Why is it so difficult to close the freezer drawers?

I'm sure adults can sort out most things, which makes any postings quite pointless, but it seems a reasonable question to have a chat about.

My freezer is the same; the more I take out, the harder it is to fit in what's left.

Has something fallen behind? This morning I couldn’t close a freezer drawer - a packet of dh’s favourite Magnums (only one left) had fallen behind the drawer.

Today I took 2 salmon steaks, quarter bag mussels, 1 white fish filet, handful of prawns, Apple tart, and 2 large chicken thighs from a full freezer, so how come it's really hard to close all the drawers?
