Good morning Mick (your holiday plans are shaping up nicely ?) and the GM team from a sunny east London.
So pleased to see Hattie is home Maw.
Welcome Spangler.
Sorry to hear about your ulcers Maryd.
Nannytopsy how lovely to have enough strawberries to make another batch of jam (yum).
Sar good to get your routine mammogram out of the way.
I know I say this several times a week, but I am weary of shielding. We are planning to visit some garden centres and have lunch out a couple of times. We will do some proper catching up with friends and family but I find I am nervous about going away or eating dinner out in a restaurant after shielding for so long.
I got strawberries, raspberries, peaches, grapes and cherries in my grocery delivery yesterday, so plan to make some fresh fruit salad. Looking forward to that.
Have a good day all, good thoughts to those who need them. ? to Bluesapphire, Dragonfly and Cherry.

Good Morning Tuesday
(79 Posts)Good Morning Everyone ,
Yet another bright blue sky with cloud this morning over Brackley .
Today a short trip into Buckingham for an hour or so .
Also housework before I go , I have been looking into Harrogate, as to eating out and pubs as to pre book .
There is a noted pub on the west park bit of the Stray noted for its Sunday roasts , I have emailed them to see what situation is , plus looked up a favourite seafood restaurant as well as to bookings etc .
Take Care ,
Mick
Good morning Auntyflo and all x
Good morning from a dry but cloudy NE.
Yesterday the hob failed just when we were going to cook lunch, spent the rest of the day chasing electricians. Eventually we contacted one who lives on the next estate and he came at 6pm which I thought was pretty decent of him. Turns out it was the power socket and DH actually had a spare one in his treasure chest so the day was saved.
My neighbour rang me to say she was going to look after a GC because one of her adult GC had been rushed to hospital. I asked if it was covid19 and she said they didn't know. Not tested at that point. The infection seems to be taking off again, pubs and socialising will not be helping.
BIL's 70th birthday today but can't see him because his DD and four GC travelled to visit. They surprised him by turning up in front of him when he was out for a walk along the promenade.
Have a good day.
Good morning from Shetland where it is bright and breezy. Got up late as nothing wakes us here it’s so quiet. Will be off walking later, probably to an old fishing station, it’s about an 8 mile circular walk with the coast always in view. Maybe today we’ll spot that elusive whale!!!
?for Kitty Marydoll and any who are struggling at the moment Take care and stay safe everyone ?
I've pm'd you Newquay.
Good Morning to you all from a bright, sunny Cambs.,
We finally got to stay at our little "home-from-home" on the Norfolk coast, we went on Saturday evening & came back late last night. That was our first stopover since last October!
DH is recovering well, albeit not 100% fit. We, at last, got our place up & running for the summer.
The downside is that we have no internet there, (& I don't have a smart phone).
Mick, you are nicely organised for your Harrogate visit, it's good to have things to look forward to.
Take Care Folks.
Good Morning All x
I wish I could say that the weather's lovely----but I can't and it isn't ! It's brightened up this last hour or so but there's a lot of cloud.
I do so envy Mick doing his own thing getting out and about, it's the way to go. I'm not the type to go wandering on my own at all as for 50 years+ I always had my friend wherever we went and since she died nearly 3 years ago I've remained static. Well done to Mick.
Marydoll, your poor mouth, it's bad enough when you have one of those tiny ulcers on your tongue but to have a mouthful of them must be horrendous. Have a good day out anyway x
Glad that Hattie is home, MawB as you miss your animals, they're our pals.
Keep the thunder there Urmston, we don't want it straying here in the NW making things worse than they already are Flippin' 'eck ! Loved Estepona by the way now that you mentioned it, so lovely for your family.
All went well with the birthday tea on Sunday and two carers were with my GGD, who also enjoyed their day. They all had an hour at the local park which leads to the beach and had quite a full day here before the long drive back.
D was laughing because the child was picking up a Geordie accent, which of course she will more so if she's there any length of time.
No cake left as D had cut a chunk off each of the two cakes for the carers to take back and share there, along with other bits and pieces which would have been left over. GGD eats very little now on account of the medication she takes which is a vast change from how her appetite used to be, though she did have a tendency to have been heavy if she'd have kept that up.
Some hoovering to do as I noticed one or two clumps of cat hair here and there. I miss my Shark cleaner as I don't feel like taking it to pieces myself to fit a new belt as at the moment I'm using another cleaner I'd bought, a Hoover Whirlwind where the suction is so strong I'm scared it will suck up the smallest cat
A bit of local shopping on the agenda, grocer/butcher/greengrocer----exciting stuff. Mixed grill today I think, with a bit of all sorts. I fancy some kidneys with it but haven't noticed them in this butcher's.
Here's hoping that Gilly has some decent news before long in order to get cracking again.
Everyone else enjoy your day whatever you do and stay safe xx.
Good morning, ? here in Gower.
Thank you (you know who you are) for all your well wishes.
I'm still not quite "right" but wanted to pop in to say I am thinking of you all.
Take care everyone, ? to all of you love people.
Stay safe and be kind to yourselves ❤️
Good morning all from a warm but overcast mid-Notts. DD1s first day back from maternity leave today and straight into her sister job. I know she was looking forward to it but equally nervous. So her partner is on daddy duty today and I'm sure they will all be fine. Macaroni cheese tonight so I'll do that during the day and just finish it off in the oven at tea time. Hope everyone has the best day possible and please stay safe x
So lovely to see you here again CherryCezzy . Take care . You are in our thoughts
Good morning from a sunny but cool north of Scotland. I had my first trip beyond my village yesterday and drove twenty miles to spend a morning in my friend’s garden. I was so happy and slept like a log last night for the first time in a long time. I was so tired you’d think I’d walked a forty mile round trip rather than driven. Although I’m well aware of how lonely the last few months have been yesterday did highlight all the changes that I have not been fully aware of. New houses have been built, shops boarded up and gardens relandscaped and primped fit for the Chelsea flower show.
Have the best day you can.
Marydoll, mouth ulccers are horrible. Are you allowed/use Bonjela or some teething cream? Ice cubes help a bit. Perhaps you could freeze some ginger tea or something like that into cubes?
Sunshine and white clouds here in Leeds. The first flowers on my Joe Maiden rose are beautiful- look like the perfect rose. Looks like a lovely day ahead.
Good morning everyone,
It's trying to brighten up a bit in South Yorkshire, but there's still a lot of cloud and the breeze is still with us.
Glad that Hattie is home, Maw. You must be relieved to have her back and able to administer your own TLC.
Enjoy your seaside trip, Marydoll. I hope it helps you to feel a little better.
Mick your plans for your trip to Harrogate appear that be coming along nicely. I'm sure you will enjoy yourself when you get there.
To everyone else planning trips and outings today, have a lovely time.
Nice to see your post, CherryCezzy and pleased to see you are feeling a bit better.
Kind thoughts all our GM's who are feeling unwell, sad or worried. I hope reading all the posts gives you some comfort. ?
Gilly I think you are wise to hold back a bit now with the prospective customer. I can't help but feel they are taking advantage of you.
Take care all.
Ahhhh how lucky are you that Hattie was diagnosed in time 'Maw' I hope her recovery goes well. Take good care of her...
where the suction is so strong I'm scared it will suck up the smallest cat
Thanks for the giggle EV!

Good morning all, first timer here - both DH and I still working from home - and still speaking ha ha! I don't miss the commute every day.

Happy for you Mawre hattie...
I dont post on here often..for various reasons...but I love to sit with my coffee and read every single post..and feel that I'm sat at a very large table listening to the banter and feeling the warmth..sometimes I cry at the problems that some of you have(then cry a little more because of my own) but often I smile as well at the tales/antics...its a special one this Good Morning thread..thank you Mick...keep on keeping safe everyone ?
Wishing you a contented Tuesday farview ?

The tea room looks charming Spangler, enjoy your ride and reward yourself with a small slice of something tasty ?
Thank you for your comment, it was a lovely ride in the sunshine and it's a lovely watering hole.
So funny though, I saw two ladies, in full masks, drinking from their tea cups, through a straw. The lower corner of the mask was raised just enough to access the straw.
fairview ???
