Maybe it is costing them more to run the service that has to be passed on somewhere ?
Iceland do do deliveries but they don't deliver everywhere - only within a certain radius of their stores.
We have been using the Asda Click and collect - you book a slot, then text them to say the time you will be there and are given a locker number to collect from. Only thing that we have found is that some of the items that have been picked for your order are not the best - I think it is possibly due to their storage.
I had a small lettuce (used to be butterhead now something else) that was nearly black and soggy on one side, so had to throw half away. They also have a problem with bananas - on website you can order a number of or by weight - we ordered 6 . One week we got 4 (they had done it by weight) this week we got 1 ! (heaven knows the thinking behind that!)
English asparagus…..it was worth the £££££ price tag.
