Good to hear you're still around. Some of us were getting a bit worried.

Evening Rufus glad you are feeling better.

Evening Rufus2. My little Wolverine is okay, thanks. He's had a bit of a hard day with emotions today so grandma has had a hard shift! My DS is also called Neil and had some sore bumps as a child. He has a Harry Potter lightning scar on his forehead where he headed a wooden surround to a sofa. Twice. He couldn't walk anywhere but ran and this wee one is the same as his uncle. Must be the name Neil that creates the dare devils! It does sound bad in Australia at the moment so I hope you are staying safe and warm. Get that new doony sorted! Tomorrow I shall be really busy. I'm meeting a friend for coffee who I haven't seen since January, then a video call with three good friends in the afternoon and then my oldest friend and her partner are coming for tea. I'll be all talked out by Thursday. Take care x

Hello Rufus. The weather here is putting me off going to a crowded beach.

I am just recovering from a visit from my youngest grandson aged 14 months. Your post made me wonder why they always go for the most dangerous things. His toys were abandoned while he opened my washing machine and tried to climb in.

Would have saved bathing him tonight! He was rescued from there but I notice he has re-programmed it.

Take care Rufus.

Hello Rufus

You sound as if you've recovered a bit from your tumble, take it easy.

I've heard tell that your Premier is an absolute idiot (or words to that effect). Not long ago encouraging everyone out on to the streets to protest and now blaming the care homes for the rise in COVID19. Where do they find them?

Winter will be over before you choose your doona!

Stay safe and warm

Glad to hear from you Rufus.
I went to my weekly quiz night last night and had 2 1/2 glasses of wine, feeling like a sluggish slug today.
We were 4th out of 15 teams, only two of us so not bad.
Things have tightened up again here and DGS and I's proposed outings have had to be re-organised. He has been in a right humph all day as we were going to the Zoo on Friday, not now.
She who must be obeyed(DD) is coming downstairs tonight to do stuff to my computer so that will be a fun couple of hours grin
Day off tomorrow and hopefully finish painting the stairs.
Stay safe and keep your pecker up.

Chewsday again! No wonder I’ve got more girth; trying to find some mirth to go with it!
There was a fleeting moment occasioned by that planned “meet-up” in Sydney today which finished before it even started because half of Sydney’s police force also organised their own meet-up and carted the ring-leader off, complete with banner His only audible rallying call as he went off was to his supporters ; “Call the meeting off”! grin
Back to reality! 384 new cases in today’s medical bulletin and 6 deaths; 4 in aged care residences.
Fewer than the previous daily toll, but many more results are needed in order to see a real downward curve.
I was surprised by our Premier at his daily briefing getting stuck into our Private residential care companies for their “inefficient services” and saying he “wouldn’t “put his Mum in one”!
Not a very uplifting outburst for anyone to hear, especially for families with relatives locked down and not allowed to visit even if the patient ‘s dying! sad

Grandmabatty I can sympathise with your Grandson, poor little fellow! Hope he bounced back OK. unlike me! It was a high stool, not the “naughty one” (that came later!) and I didn’t bounce! Had to be lifted by 3 Chinese helpers.!
Talking about young climbers; our No1, about the same age, took some beating e.g. we’d just had a new fireplace put in, very smart tiled surround, back boiler, all the rage in those days and complete with spark-guard. What did Neil do!? Only climbed onto it via an adjacent armchair and on to the mantle piece! Vera had a fit!
He also got into strife a bit later when mixing it with a garden swing; lost one tooth! I think it’s called being accident prone, but fortunately he’s now 63 and grown out of it! hmm
No Doona/Duvet yet! I’m still baffled by the technical terminology having first thought all I had to buy was a “Doona”, but that seems to be the warmth-giving “innards” (What type do you prefer, Sir and what weight?); then we get to “Quilts”! It’s like buying new slippers; the old ones are always the most comfortable!
BTW; I haven’t given up on “neb”; note that I’ve still remembered how to spell it; there was another one I think, but that needs finding..

AGAA4; That mob in B’mouth recently looked like our “Nutters”, but from what I can gather from the Good Morning thread, beach weather seems a distant memory!? Our ‘s is variable between Cool and Cold with occasional showers for a bit of variety.! sad

Off for more mirth! Carol Burnett on YouTube is a scream.
Good Health Everyone wine wine wine
