I didn't realise that there was a Forum, which was titled Classics. You are not the only Ninny on here. ?

There was a kind of "thread of shame" a while back, where we confessed to things we should have known, but didn't until we were quite old.

I'd never heard of a Classics thread either so I had a look - not what I was expecting!

Why classics I wonder?

He was, therefore he is or words to that effect... Or was that some French guy? ? ?
Or even better, someone wrote a load of poetry and needed a classical sounding name.

I had to learn his poetry off by heart, for my Latin exam. He was hard work!!

It was indeed Descartes. I hate ( well perhaps not hate) that man! I had to write a philosophy essay on that very statement. I hadn't a clue where to start,☹️? It caused me no end of stress.

Is that tea with or without sugar, Chewy? I do like a good discussion about the nuances of tea and how it tastes.?

He has all the answers, although he's a bit slow. It takes him years to get anywhere.

That "Classics" forum must be quite new. Why don't GNHQ send memos when that sort of thing happens?

I would have thought that Classics meant The Classics; so you are certainly not the only one who thought that!
