I don’t think it’s actually a ‘post Covid’ world yet, but good on you for deciding to make positive changes. Enjoy work when you get back.

Good for you Geekesse. I have been going through my wardrobe and deciding that I am not going to keep some things for 'best' any more. I may look slightly overdressed for Church, but why not enjoy them now, it's either that or give them away, and I hung onto them because I loved them!

I’ve decided I’m not returning to work so I have a wardrobe of work clothes going to the Hospice Shop when they start accepting donations again.
I’m emerging from lockdown with a much more casual look and longer hair.

Good on you- but I wish I could believe we are in a post-Covid world. Alas it looks as if it is going to be with us for many months if not years yet. sad

After five and a half months of lockdown and home-working, I’m going back to work next week. I’ve had a lot of time to think and generally review how I feel about myself and the world. I want to re-start work in a post-COVID world with a slightly different attitude and style.

After years of wearing what I treated as more or less a uniform (dark formal trousers or skirt, plain top, classic blazer or jacket), I’ve decided this is a good time to break out a new look which expresses who I am a little more. I’ve bought more coloured and slightly more casual trousers, tops and jackets. It’s not a complete change, just an easing out of the very formal style I favoured previously. Later this week, I’m having my long hair (always tied back in a bun) restyled into a shoulder-length layered shag cut which I can wear loose.

Is anyone else reviewing how they present themselves as they emerge from lockdown?
