No I haven't tried them phoenix. I love cornetto's as well.
I'll have to try them when I next go in. Thanks very much I often wonder what eating all this fat will do to me but I'm addicted to ice-cream and lollies.

I think some local firms producing icecream and other dairy products are really struggling at the moment so support your local businesses, buy locally produced food!

Oh I feel your disappointment Phoenix! A quick recommendation for anyone who likes a Magnum ( Almond are my favourite), the aldi copies are indistinguishable from the original and at 99p for 4 are considerably cheaper. Spotted the real thing reduced in Tesco yesterday at £2.65 for 4. May not seem much but when there are eaten at the rate they have been in this house this summer.......I am however, just off out to buy a crunchie as the talk of honeycombe has made me crave one.

This is the best reason I have ever heard for labelling things clearly before they go into the freezer, or using ice-cream tubs for something else.

I collect seeds for next year's herbacious border and store them in ice-cream tubs, which then go in a carrier bag among the gardening tools.

Not having a sweet tooth I would have been happy with the lentil soup, phoenix but I only have marrow curry as a swap!!

Reminds me of the time many years ago when we invited friends back home after a fireworks 'do' in the village. It was a freezing cold night so while DH poured the drinks.....and then more drinks, I rummaged in the freezer for my delicious, home made leek and potato soup.

After another round of drinks we eagerly sat down to steaming bowls of.....stewed apple!

I've got 2 boxes of Tesco chocolate and mint lollies and a box of Magnum salted caramel lollies in my freezer. Delivered last night. A total of 10 lollies. I'm set up now for a week.

Doodle Chicken stock reminds me, I took frozen soup to work years ago for lunch...when defrosted, was chicken stock!
