Not on official official documents of course but in your mind where do you place yourself and in what order?
I think of myself a EuroEnglishFrench person.

At one time I’d have said British, now, I’d say English. Which is kind of weird, because I’ve recently done a DNA test and I’m nearly 50% Welsh and I’m also a quarter South African. confused

sodapop Mon 21-Sept-20 12:29:18

"Scotland has given more to the world than any other nation on earth apart from the ancient greeks" (Winston Churchill) AND HE HATED US!" (my capitals) Oh dear, paddyanne, you obviously haven't taken on board any of my advice about not believing all these foolish myths about Churchill's views on Scotland and the Scots. I'll grant you that Dundee's voters were probably not high on his Christmas card list in 1922 - but to extrapolate from that to accuse him of hating a whole nation and its people is to enter the realms of fantasy and malice.

Oh, and my Scottishness and Britishness are one and the same.

pollyperkins Mon 21-Sept-20 14:47:11

British. And proud of it (or I was before brexit and this shambles of a government.) But I say English when abroad as they understand that better! I would have liked to stay in the EU but would not say European!
