I find it easier to stop worrying about the small stuff. I ask myself if this will still be troubling me next week/month. The answer is nearly always no.

Caring much less about what others think. In my yoof, I'd waste an inordinate amount of time worrying about what someone else would think of my decisions, choices, clothes, anything really. Now I care not one jot. And that's a kind of freedom.

Saying no!

To things I can’t do, I shouldn’t do and simple don’t want to do. It’s taken years to get there but I’m finally able to do so with a regretful smile ?

I haven’t been able to exercise as much as usual this year, mainly due to COVID, but also other stupid little things getting in the way. A few years ago, that would have really irritated me....but now I’m like you, more accepting, and just happy that I’m still breathing in and out, and most of my bits are still working, and where they should be on my body!?

I find it much easier to say "No" to anything I don't like or don't want to do than I did when I was young. Life's too short to spend it placating other people.

My friend asked me this the other day and I couldn't give her a serious answer. I asked my husband and apart from his "wetting yourself" comment he couldn't give me an answer either.

Gave it some thought and came up with Acceptance. Accepting what is, what was, and what will never be.

But I'd love to hear if you have any others, whether they're serious or non serious.
