Regular Sainsbury's slot

I wonder if anyone can help me with registering for a regular Sainsbury's delivery slot?

When I log onto my account there is a message asking if I would like to book a delivery for the same time every week. I don't know if this is available to everyone, or just to regular customers, but I can't get it to work.

The instructions say to place an order at a time I would like to become regular, then check out as normal at which point there will be an option to book that time as a weekly one. I have tried a couple of times when I've made my usual order, but can't for the life of me find the option to make the slot regular.

Normally, I prefer to choose a slot each week when I order, as I'm not always free at the same time, but now that more people are shopping online again and slots are filling up, to be on the safe side I'd like to make sure that I can still get my regular order.

Has anyone else done this, and if so, where was the option to book, please? They have removed the email option on the 'contact us' part of the site, so the only option is to phone them, and there is a notice saying that they are very busy just now, so I'd rather not unless I have to.

I shop with Sainsburys online regularly, but I’ve never noticed this option, Doodledog. I can tell you however that despite the message about phone lines being busy, I’ve had to ring twice recently and not had to wait more than a few minutes. The staff are very helpful when you get through as well.

But yes, it is annoying that there’s no other way of getting in touch.

I've just had a look and can't see anything either.
I looked in FAQs and couldn't find anything there.

I have used Sainsbury's since early on in lockdown and have never been offered that. Is it part of the pass thing? I cant do that as it is not open to new subscribers.

I can book my next delivery in the usual way about 8 days in advance.

I’m a regular customer and I’ve never known that, I just book my delivery for the next week as soon as one has been delivered, mainly to pick the slot I like. Before the pandemic I used to do it just a couple of days before, but now I want to make sure.

Kitty I'm pretty certain that they are doing delivery passes now.
They refund you too if you don't use it enough and get your money's worth. Tesco do this too.
I've just booked my Christmas delivery slot for Ocado! Woo-hoo!
I'm going to book one for my dad and his wife later.

I have a delivery pass, so maybe it’s connected to that.

Thanks for the replies. I think I will ring them later to see if I can set it up. It was so annoying last time when all the slots went to people who obviously weren’t regular delivery shoppers. I don’t drive, and the nearest decent sized supermarket is miles away.

I think they are still allowing Delivery Passes if you already have one but I tried to do one a couple of weeks ago and couldn't.

I just go for the midweek slots that are free after 2pm if you spend over £100. We usually only shop fortnightly.

I also have used Sainsbury’s since the beginning of lockdown, and continue to do so. I have never been asked this. I just go on a week before I want a delivery and book a slot. No problem

BBbevan Yes, I do the same.
