They say a picture paints a thousand words and there have been some lovely photos on GN recently. I am a visual person and, especially at this time, pictures cheer me up. Autumn scenes, people's gardens, cake baking, craftwork, pets, clothes we fancy buying etc. Even stock images of Boris, royalty etc. What is the general feeling? Are they superfluous or do they add another dimension? Are we "allowed" to just drop them into a non photographic thread?
I do indeed Izabella. A wonderful place to be when the mayfly are rising and the trout are in a frenzy! Not on a day like that though! What a fabulous picture!
Well. I am sure none of the posters on here realise just what a gem it is for me. My alzheimer support worker went through it with me yesterday and used so many of the photos as memory prompts I recognised many of the places and we had a lovely discussion of memories and past times. Thank you all.
minimoon thats a beautiful scene. The slope shows the bluebells off well. I've found it hard to get a good photo of bluebells. The light has to be right or it bleaches them I find.
The leaves have only just fallen from the trees, but I'm yearning for my Springtime walk in the bluebell woods. I really don't like "the dark days before Christmas".
I now have Loo Envy too! I like Ellianne's idea of a 'Loo Visit'. After the pandemic (whenever) and the shops are full of toilet rolls again this would be a wonderful way to make new friends. We'll join up and advertise open house on ?day the ?th of ?month from 3.30 - 4.30 at ?? address. all welcome. Bring cake or a bottle! Next week at someone else's.
(Well maybe not, but I'd love to visit some of these loos and it seems I'm not alone)
