DH and I, both only children, are a mix of first and only. DGD1 is also an only child and ticks most of the boxes in first and only categories. DD, first child, is certainly well described; DS, number two of two, is hard to categorise.

Lots of research evidence to support the view that first and only children are often over achievers so maybe that is because parenting the first child is a more anxious process?

I'm the middle one and it describes me very well.

The first is completely wrong, no similarities at all to my kind and gentle big Sister.

The third is a bit hit and miss but they've got self centred and financially irresponsible spot on!!

My son is an Only and the only trait he has on that list is Private. More information comes out of North Korea.

For me, first and second child not exactly, but it’s number 3 to a tee!
For my brothers and me, it’s scarily accurate!
