Love it. Scammer baiting is one of my hobbies. I figure that whilst I'm wasting their time I'm helping to protect someone who might fall victim to their scam.

I listened to one of his things on Youtube, very amusing.

I never answer the phone unless I recognise the number - if it's valid they'll leave a message.

I've mentioned this before on a previous thread: I had a voice mail from a well-spoken young woman saying I needed to contact her re suspicious activity on my bank account. She had the right bank and nearby branch, my correct name, and mobile number.

I was very tempted to call the number and give her a piece of my mind but resisted the urge, after all she almost certainly also had my address.

These people are criminals and it's best not to engage with them, particularly if they are 'local' and not calling from overseas.

It's not a game.

I sometimes resort to speaking in Glasgow dialect with an exaggerated Glasgow accent, whilst pretending I'm deaf.
They soon get fed up.

If I want a bit of fun and it's a Virgin media scam about broadband speed, I start asking nonsensical technical questions.
Its wastes their time and they aren't bothering someone else.

I love double glazing companies. I keep them on the phone for ages agreeing to this and that and finally ask if my conservatory will be ok on my ninth floor flat. Works every time

DH pretends to be a Turkish Bath and tries to sell them saunas and massages.
