Hi all,
I am wearing the attached dress on Christmas day, with ankle boots, 100 denier black tights, a decorative belt and a shoulder bag. I hadn't thought about a jacket but I now wonder if I should have a jacket or wrap or something. What do you think?
Best wishes,
FH x

Still hilarious - it's just two inches longer than the sleeves! Maybe FH has very long arms?

petra, yes, attention seeking - I imagine a totally different and opposite body:

No, petra I wrote about exactly that some weeks ago and I know that the whole thing is just as you describe. But wouldn't you agree that bizarre doesn't even cover it, which is why so many GNetters have been motivated recently to say just what they think about all of this? Unfortunately there will always be the odd poster unfamiliar with how this works, who will be taken in, and this is why almost every thread like this always ends badly. Well, it's very late so I'll just grab a couple of Poptarts, a cheese and onion sandwich, some Cheese Strings and a hot chocolate - and wish you all goodnight.

I think wellington boots would go nicely with that dress, particularly the black ones.

Grandmafrench, may suggest you add some Gaviscon to your stash! You will probably need it!?

Then you could wear thick socks and retain some body heat, otherwise it will all escape from the nether regions.

MissAdventure Thu 22-Oct-20 22:54:58

I'm sure you'll look great flyinghandbag smile

FlyingHxndbag Thu 22-Oct-20 23:01:07

Hetty58, you say you imagine a body totally different from mine. Are you thinking of your own? X

FlyingHxndbag Thu 22-Oct-20 23:01:27

Thanks Missadventure x

MissAdventure Thu 22-Oct-20 23:01:36

smile

FlyingHxndbag Thu 22-Oct-20 23:04:10

thanks

MissAdventure Thu 22-Oct-20 23:08:45

Are you going anywhere for christmas, so you can swan around in your dress?
I suppose the virus means nobody knows exactly what their plans are.

FlyingHxndbag Thu 22-Oct-20 23:11:15

I'm going to see some relatives. X

Grandmafrench Thu 22-Oct-20 23:13:26

Marydoll

*Grandmafrench*, may suggest you add some Gaviscon to your stash! You will probably need it!?

Thanks Mary, you're so thoughtful - and still on duty? I promise to take loads and loads and be back same time tomorrow whining about constipation.

I think FH said in another post MissAdventure that she was spending Christmas Day with all her family together, having one happy family party. Meanwhile, the rest of us will probably be mixing with no one ‘cos we won’t be allowed.

MissAdventure Thu 22-Oct-20 23:19:17

I suppose it depends on the size of the family, amongst other factors.

Marydoll Thu 22-Oct-20 23:22:16

FH, as you live near Glasgow, surely you know that Jason Leitch has today, unfortunately advised usthat we will probably be having a digital Christmas. Sadly, no visiting of relatives allowed.☹️

BlueSky Thu 22-Oct-20 23:27:46

Marydoll things might still change with a bit of luck and people will be allowed to meet (some) family for Christmas. ?

Marydoll Thu 22-Oct-20 23:32:18

So why is Jason Leitch advising otherwise? Why say it if you mean the opposite? Not very professional in my opinion.
Are you aware how high the figures are in Glasgow at present? They are high because people aren't following the regulations. ?
No- one is allowed in another household at all!

Mapleleaf Thu 22-Oct-20 23:32:33

I hope you are right BlueSky, but I’m not feeling that optimistic about it, the way things are going.

BlueSky Thu 22-Oct-20 23:39:34

I know I’m not too optimistic either but we can still hope, it seems more important to some people than others. My family are overseas so I know for us it will definitely be a digital Christmas.

Not very pleasant comment.

Hetty58 Fri 23-Oct-20 00:12:58

Marydoll, problem solved - a digital Christmas, chatting on Zoom, only needs a top!

Marydoll Fri 23-Oct-20 00:23:50

Hetty oh you are sharp!!! ?

Kalu Fri 23-Oct-20 00:40:06

Sorry, but I do think that particular dress is tarty. Far too revealing for decency.
Not a style either of my DDs would wear so I can’t give you any advice as to what accessories would be appropriate.
