Here we are again. As happy as we can be (in the circumstances). All good pals and jolly good company.

Cheers! cupcake wine brew cafe and whatever else that you fancy, providing it's legal. smile

Condolences BladeAnnie flowers and a glass raised in Suzanne's honour.

DD finally arrived yesterday and I am so very happy. We have been really busy since then tryng to be ready for all the furniture coming tomorrow. Smokie is very puzzled about all the goings on but is very pleased with the first set of cardboard boxes! Himself is finally realising why I have been pushing him to do certain things for the past few weeks, why does it have to go critical before things get done? I think he is suddenly realising he is now outnumbered and while I don't want him to feel pushed I am glad to have some backup, DD does not take prisoners!. Himself hates 'change' and has been totally in denial. Tomorrow is a big day!!!

TOYA x

Good news Synonymous, I hope you all enjoy the “new order”.
You will have help and backup and Himself will be really well looked after.

Susan56 Mon 23-Nov-20 09:29:53

Glad your DD has arrived safely with you Synonomous.Hope today goes to plan.It has been a long time but at last things are all coming together for you.

I hope the test isn’t too unpleasant today soop.Another thing ticked off on the countdown to wednesday???

After a few weeks of being unwell, Henry has his smile back and is starting to eat again?

DH has decided to do a stock take today before we finalise Wednesdays supermarket delivery. This will involve emptying half the kitchen cupboards so I shall retreat to the conservatory with my book!

TOYA

Good result, lemongrove. I'm pleased that you are no longer confused.

Nannytopsy What a lovely extra treat for you and your grandchildren. Precious times.

Madam Fern hasn't put in an appearance yet. Naturally, I'm concerned. The chalet has been serviced. The rain is pelting down. I'm soaked. hmm Early lunch and then we're off to Campbeltown for the Covid test.

soop Mon 23-Nov-20 12:18:15

Lovely news from Synonymous grin
Ditto news from Susan. We are all happy if Henry is smiling. grin

I'm away to empty the washing machine. Have cleared out the cupboards in the utility room. Smells of pine and looks smart.

dragonfly46 Mon 23-Nov-20 12:21:23

How lovely your DD has arrived Synonymous. That will be a great support for you.

Pleased that Henry has picked up again Susan it must be such a worry for you all. I do hope they can make this permanent.

Well I finished my treatment today so hoping I don't have to see the inside of a hospital again until June next year.

Hoping your op and pre op go well Soop.

cornergran Mon 23-Nov-20 12:41:10

Here’s our guard cat. Might be a bit blurry, taken through the window without him noticing. grin. This morning guarding the bird feeder hmm.

Hope you don’t find the test too uncomfortable soop. You do sound very happy synonymous, good to hear. Good for Henry Susan, he’s a little toughie, you can deal. For a little while.

Bit weary today, sleep was elusive last night, no idea why just one of those things. TOYA. Take care everyone.

cornergran Mon 23-Nov-20 12:42:03

Good news dragonfly. smile.

Fennel Mon 23-Nov-20 12:47:01

soop - wishing you well for the test and hope it leads to your long-awaited operation. Which should be successful.

Charleygirl5 Mon 23-Nov-20 13:48:08

corner your guard cat does not look as though he has missed a meal. From memory, you supply him with water and he can return home later for food.

soop fingers crossed all will be okay. The entire lot will soon be over. I do hope Fern appears soon but now she knows she will be fed she may please herself when she returns home to dine like a queen.

So pleased that Henry is getting his act together again-I am sure you would forgive a day of naughtiness to get him back to his usual self.

dragonfly hopefully you can forget what has happened these last few months- time has flown has it not?
TOYA

soop Mon 23-Nov-20 16:04:10

dragonfly I'm relieved to hear your latest update. You have been a real trooper. Well done. flowers

corner Your guard cat is a splendid feline specimen. That is a very good photograph.

Charleyg NO sign of Fern since yesterday afternoon. I am concerned. I shall be over the moon if she calls this evening.

Fennel Thank you for your kind words. Test done. One step closer. I shall certainly feel more upbeat when "our cat" honors us with her presence. I'm a teeny bit on edge because her visits have been as regular as clockwork. For her to miss four meals is worritsome. wink

I'm away to listen to the PMs speech. Don't ask why. I haven't a clue.

Hoping to be with you all again tomorrow. smile moon

Up and down in the Kitchen as life so often is.
That is one splendid marmalade cat by the way , I hope little Fern puts in a appearance to put your mind at rest @Soop
(I am totally frustrated because my normal keyboard seems to have disappeared from my iPad and a woefully inadequate much smaller one has taken its place - with NO asterisks or little “hats” to do bold or italic letters! Hence the @)
I am sorry to hear of your loss, BladeAnnie ? my condolences
Good news of Dragonfly46 - you will be happy to have seen the back of your hospital!
Hoping your test is negative, Soop and all progresses smoothly towards your “procedure”
TOYA especially those unwell or sorrowing.

I types a huge post yesterday - it was mostly ramble but also I asked if MacS will be updated us, soop?

Nannyfaraway Tue 24-Nov-20 09:56:27

Sorry I've been away for so long. I hope it is alright to join you all again.
Lots of things have been happening here. I've had a few health problems and at the moment am trying to get to the bottom of what's exactly wrong with my left arm and leg.
Our youngest daughter had a bit of a mental health break down. She came home to us for some support. She is now fine again and is going back to Derby this afternoon.
Ellie is now 2 years old they were supposed to be coming over last month for her birthday but due to restrictions they had to cancel.
However we Zoom every week and she is very good at interacting with us.
We also Zoom our middle daughter.
The photo is of Ellie at her birthday party in a park near them

Charleygirl5 Tue 24-Nov-20 11:44:19

Ellie is growing so quickly-a pity she had to have her party outside rather than indoors but she does look as though she was enjoying herself. I doubt if she feels the cold.

soop I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed that all is going well and that Fern appeared and put your mind at rest.
Now she knows that food is almost on tap she can come and go as she pleases.
TOYA

soop Tue 24-Nov-20 12:20:22

Welcome back, Nannyfaraway. Ellie is a bonnie wee lassie. She has a winning smile.
Sorry to hear that you are having health issues. I trust that you will have answers soon and whatever treatment is required to assist with your recovery.
Good news that your daughter benefitted form a visit to you and is now feeling more confident. Your support has worked wonders. flowers

Maw and Charleyg Our Fern returned home last night, as I was reading in bed. We were both very happy to see her although she was soaked and muddy. She enjoyed a first class late supper. Remained in the den overnight. Has eaten breakfast and is now strolling through the forest. Our neighbour has has had two men felling trees in his back garden. We now understand that the sound of the chain saw and chipper must have unsettled her. They are back today. She may be getting used to the whine of the machinery. I do hope so.

I have jobs to do. Will return to our kitchen later.

Puzzler61 Tue 24-Nov-20 12:33:20

Good afternoon all. So glad to hear Fern has returned, what a sensible lady to return to the warm shelter you have for her in inclement weather.
Hope you are all geared up for tomorrow soop ?
Cornergran nice to see a marmalade cat photo, there don’t seem to be many that make it into the kitchen gallery.
Nannyfaraway good and not so good news from you but it looks like your little Ellie enjoys a good party and is well practised at “Zoom”. I’m sure it will be on the school curriculum next year.
Special “Hi’s” to my close friends “Charleygirl* ,
Grandmafrench across the sea, and BladeAnnie if she’s looking in.
I seem to have stopped cake baking but have made meatballs today and so a large pot will be placed in the kitchen later for sharing. I hope there is is enough spaghetti to go round. ?
TOYA.

Puzzler61 Tue 24-Nov-20 12:35:10

Charleygirl . I mistook a * for a “ .
Fat finger syndrome when typing. Charley deserves to be in Bold .

soop Tue 24-Nov-20 13:38:25

hello again, Puzzler, I shall packing my bag etc later this afternoon. I have some polishing to do and a wee pile of ironing. Now that Fern is back with us, I am feeling heaps more optimistic and that cannot be a bad thing. grin

Grandmabatty Tue 24-Nov-20 14:06:30

I hope tomorrow goes well Soop. I'm currently covered in cars and duplo. His lordship is working through an apple and we've been out puddle splashing and stones (out of my garden pots) collecting. Now he's singing along to Billy Connolly in the Disney film Brave. Have a good afternoon all.

annodomini Tue 24-Nov-20 15:12:39

Cornergran, what a handsome ginger cat! I have a soft spot for gingers and have had two in my time - first Orlando, named after the marmalade cat of children's books in my childhood. The second one was Sandy. When we had chosen him, and before we collected him from the farm where he was born, I dreamt of a ginger cat called Sandy, and so he was.
soop, best of luck for tomorrow. I hope it will bring an end to the suffering you've endured most of the time we have known you. ❤️ You can look forward to seeing that pampered puss waiting for you when you get home. flowers

GrannyGravy13 Tue 24-Nov-20 15:42:15

Just popping in to wish our dear soop all the best for tomorrow flowers

Puzzler61 Tue 24-Nov-20 15:46:14

All the very best wishes for tomorrow soop. Hope you feel like a new woman very soon ?
Please can MacS let us lot know how you are if you are unable to. We’ll be waiting for your safe return and so will Fern.

annsixty Tue 24-Nov-20 15:46:56

My best wishes are added to all those.
Onwards and upwards.

Charleygirl5 Tue 24-Nov-20 15:50:41

All the very best soop- you will be home to see Fern in no time and hopefully feeling so much better.
