N&G at least it is over- if we have any more lockdowns I will have to stop eating because toothache is a nightmare.

ann you did so well today and you must be thanking somebody you were able to have the surgery done when you were fitted in.

dragonfly have you heard of the four-letter word rest? Please look after yourself-

Grey that was really brave of your friend- so courageous- not many could have done that.

corner it sounds as though the young fellow enjoyed himself and may well be back. He obviously knows and trusts you and Mr.C very well he was able to settle down and relax. Hopefully, his parents were not fretting too much.

TOYA

That’s great annsixty there will be no stopping you now ?

Greyduster Mon 02-Nov-20 16:39:49

Well done N&G. Glad we didn’t need to order a door handle. Hope you feel tons better tomorrow?.

NanaandGrampy Mon 02-Nov-20 16:35:05

Afternoon all,

Made it through without the need for string and a door handle Grey :-)

It was one of those tricky ones where by rights it should have fallen out on its own but was hanging on for dear life. In the end I had to say just damn well do it - Ive had 2 babies this is nothing lol

Anyway, its done and now I feel like a truck has run over my face . So its a liquid diet for a couple of days .

Great news to hear your progress Ann - well done.

Glad you enjoyed your visit Corner , its those small things that keep me going .

I'm off for lie down so catch you all tomorrow xx

dragonfly46 Mon 02-Nov-20 16:12:28

Lovely to see you Izabella.

Hope the infusion went well Soop

kittylester Mon 02-Nov-20 16:12:15

Well done ann. You sound like a different person. Do take care in the wind and rain.

anno your friend sounds a lovely person and how brave of his wife to cope so well.

Glad your appointment went well dragonfly.

Hope the tooth is gone N&G. I cancelled my check up a couple of weeks ago as it was just after DS2 had had a positive diagnosis and I didn't want to risk taking it in with me. When I tried to rebook, I was told it would be February!! Similarly, I cancelled my pedicure appointment around the same time as my 'girl' is pregnant. Now we have lockdown!!

Keep hold of those memories corner. We saw our 3 lots over the last week and I'm cherishing those memories.

Best wishes for Thursday soop. When exactly is MacS's birthday because I haven't had my invite yet!!

Izabella Mon 02-Nov-20 16:07:29

Tap tap. Kitchen door slowly opens ......

I have experienced a few most peculiar days which I will not dwell on. Suffice to say I am back now. I will try and catch up in my limited way, but in the meantime TOYA.

Well done Ann and well done dragonfly.

Enjoy your magazine soop.

Hope the dentist is going well for N&G.I totally understand your fear.I have an appointment on Wednesday and am already grinding my teeth in anticipation which is really not helping.

We have eventually had the boiler repaired this morning after a two month wait so we have a cosy house again☺️

TOYA and stay safe everyone attending medical appointments.

Quick dash in. We’ve had the pleasure of the company of our Littlest, an overnight stay (the first, he slept like an angel, I was awake every 10 minutes!), a morning (sometimes) dodging showers on the beach before the chef produced lunch according to a very detailed request. We’ll take him home soon. I’m trying not to be sad, as N&G says these moment have to be seized and enjoyed.

Imagine n&g is on her way or at the dentist now. A huge hug from me for her return. It will soon be over. I have a belief all will be well.

Good for you ann, lovely to hear how you are progressing. That magazine will be worth every penny soop.

Oh well, best get on. Apparently the mini tyrant can’t possibly put his toys away on his own. Silly me for even thinking it might be possible.

Take care everyone. Hope there’s something positive in your day.

Had bloods taken and a wee sample is going to the lab. Thursday afternoon Zoledronic acid infusion confirmed. I've an expensive glossy magazine to keep me occupied during the procedure. £4.50! It had better be worth it. hmm

dragonfly46 Mon 02-Nov-20 13:26:27

Ann that is great news. There will be no stopping you now.

Well the first Radiotherapy is under the belt. I arrived far to early anticipating more traffic on the road and not realising the hospital car park being empty despite it being free at the moment. I was out within half an hour. Only another 14 to go!!

soop Mon 02-Nov-20 13:24:21

Loud applause for our ann. Us lot couldn't be more chuffed. You are a trooper. sunshine

N&G Imagine my arm around your shoulder. That's it. A supply of virtual hugs await your dental visit. flowers

anno Your personal tribute to your friend helped us to know him as a man of character and down-to-earth goodness. A truly fitting tribute.

Greyduster Mon 02-Nov-20 12:59:39

Annsixty, you and me, standing on Mam Tor, New Years Day? How about it??

annodomini Mon 02-Nov-20 12:38:04

annsixty, that's an achievement - the first of many. You'd never have been able to walk even that shortish distance before your surgery. Mind out for slippery fallen leaves though.

baubles Mon 02-Nov-20 12:32:56

Well done annsixty, what a positive step forward for you.

Puzzler61 Mon 02-Nov-20 12:27:06

You’ve come a long way in your recovery annsixty. Well done to you ?

GrannySomerset Mon 02-Nov-20 11:26:20

Well done, annsixty. Very brave but another milestone reached. We will,be entering you for the Grans’ virtual Olympics next!

Grandmabatty Mon 02-Nov-20 11:22:24

Well done Annsixty onwards and upwards! Good morning to the kitchen folk. I'm having a cuppa while dgs is sleeping. I'm feeling wabbit this morning and had strange dreams so maybe that contributed. I hope the dentist wasn't too traumatic for you, N&G. annodomini that must have been sad for you. I hope everyone is well. Take care.

MawB2 Mon 02-Nov-20 11:22:02

Congratulations Annsixty - onwards and upwards. It is so hard to be motivated when the weather is rubbish but you are doing exactly the right things! ???

annsixty Mon 02-Nov-20 11:00:35

Good morning all.
It really is a good one for me, taking advantage of a short bright spell I have been my first walk outside.
Very short, probably a hundred yards down the road and then back.
I was on my own and admit I was nervous but I did it.
Full steam ahead now, oh no, I can’t, we are in lockdown?

annodomini Mon 02-Nov-20 09:59:05

Good luck, N&G. Fear not! Your dentist has your interests (and your bank balance) at heart. I hope you will be a new woman when we meet again. ?
Last night I watched a video of a funeral I couldn't attend. He was a good friend - husband of my equally good friend. His achievements were manifold and he was a truly kind and generous person. I was sad not to be there myself. My friend gave her husband a wonderful tribute. I don't know how she held herself together, but she did it for him and her children and grandchildren - and her newest great grandson, born just two weeks ago.

Greyduster Mon 02-Nov-20 09:23:08

What do dentists charge for a door handle these days??

Greyduster Mon 02-Nov-20 09:16:36

Well if all else fails, there’s always the piece of cotton and the door handle! You’ll either not feel a thing....... or you’ll need a new door handle! Seriously, you can do this! You’ll be fine.{{}}hugs

NanaandGrampy Mon 02-Nov-20 09:05:59

I think I'm probably more nervous because this tooth was one of 2 that should have come out in August last year. The first one was no problem but she couldn't seem to numb this one enough to pull it out without pain so we just left it.

Well now its really causing problems and what if she still cant get it out :-(

BUT I shall put on my big girl pants ( made larger by lockdown weight gain lol) because lots of people in the UK have far worse problems that a simple tooth extraction !

Thank you all for your kind thoughts I DO really appreciate them x
