I hope our Marydoll comes in here for some warm, kind friendship today. She needs it. Don’t be cross with yourself, that person is very devious at drawing people into her web. ? c
It was a lovely few days with the little boys- we scraped in before the hammer fell again. One thing I have learnt is that we should never procrastinate in these times- take every opportunity !!
But the down side has been a terrible toothache for me. My wobbly tooth that has been causing me no end of trouble reared its ugly head and despite an emergency call to our still closed dentist and some antibiotics hasn't improved. So I have managed to get an emergency apt this morning. It will have to come out !
As a total dental phobic I would NEVER have believed Id have been grateful for a dentist apt.
So, I'm off to get that done . A considerable amount of hand holding is necessary please :-)
baubles 2012. Eight years since that happy gathering in the Kelvingrove, Glasgow. I recall that it was a happy chatty occasion.
Nannytopsy I sincerely wish that you do share that cake with those you love.
I've had a long lie down. Bit of a tummy ache. Away first thing tomorrow have bloods taken in readiness for infusion on Thursday.
MacSporran is almost eighty years of age. I'm hoping that the weather is a good deal brighter on Tuesday. Not that we're travelling far. It just that sunshine is befitting of special occasions.
Enjoy a peaceful Sunday evening. I shall be with you again sometime tomorrow.
Good afternoon all! A quick hop around the garden centre/deli and a click and collect and now we are home. DD & SiL passing through tomorrow, so delicious things to be cooked. She has made her Christmas cake this weekend, ready for their “first” Christmas but they don’t really like it. I just hope we are able to go down to be with them and eat the cake! It’s still pretty blowy here but the forecast is looking better. TOYA
Covid is going to be with us for a long time. The sooner folk grow up and do as they are told for the good of themselves and others, the better. I fear that that is a very big ask.
Susan Your outing sounds like the kind of treat I would really enjoy. I am pleased that all went well. Pity that you couldn't take the photos you would have liked. Never mind, you enjoyed the real thing. That's what counts.
Top of the morning to you. Dd is coming this pm for a brief visit with the dgc. I suspect it will be the last time I see them this year. Gove was saying this am that this lockdown could be extended and I think that is inevitable. TOYA
A new month so 'White Rabbits' as it's a 30 day month. An important week for my almost-twin MacS and me. No fireworks displays for which family pets will be devoutly grateful. I have always loved fireworks. After the end of the war, I had a fireworks party for every birthday. Hope everyone, especially if you're out of sorts, has a good week, despite the latest lockdown regulations. TOYA
Susan56 so pleased you had your wonderful day out yesterday. Many of us wished to be with you ? You may not have photo’s but you have memories to keep. ?
Halloween was still special in your part of the country baubles, the children will have had fun. We must try and keep them joyful in these strange times.
Good morning Kitcheners, hope you are all well and storm Aiden didn’t do any damage
Lots of little ones braved the wind and rain with their parents yesterday evening to see the Halloween houses and help themselves to a goody bag from a bucket on the doorstep. It had been agreed on the local Facebook group that the children wouldn’t knock on doors and everyone made up their bags of individually wrapped sweets over a week ago.
I’ll leave this pot of coffee and some warm croissants here, help yourselves.
