Day Dream Destinations

Not everyone’s cup of tea - but New York. Discovered it in ‘07 and can’t get enough! DD2 (Wheelchair user) has been 33 in times in 11 years - what an inspiration! I’ve even started watching the ‘intro’ to Judge Judy just to see the streets of Manhattan. Sad???

Plymouth Street Brooklyn New York - actually quite a scruffy, urban street but it’s who lives there and whom I am desperate to see that attracts . If that was possible, the next fantasy is walking in the Julian Alps.... roll on a vaccine.

I'm missing Italy. No Bologna for the Book Fair this year (cancelled), no Venice, no Florence no Siena - all my favourite places.

New Zealand & Hawaii. (The latter is now open to tourists... I can dream on.....)

Isle of Skye.. Simply breathtaking

My Dad was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and 2 years ago my daughter and I went there. Visited beautiful Rio de Janeiro, where we saw the Christ the Redeemer statue and the Sugar Loaf Mountain, and we sunned ourselves at Copacabana Beach. Then went to Sao Paulo where we stayed on a farm for 3 days, and then down to the wonderful Iguazu Falls. I'll never forget that beautiful country. Would love to go again.

I'm not really a beach lover but I do dream of walking along one in the Caribbean. Just to make all you Aysgarth Falls dreamers envious, I shall be walking around there later in the week.

When I'm sitting quietly my mind disappears down a black hole. Having said that, there are too many locations to list in the UK, but there is a little village in Turkey called Turunc. Even in the height of the season or is not over crowded.

I wander back to a place of cascading waterfalls in Scotland. So etched in my memory that I'm frightened to revisit lest any changes have taken place. Sheer bliss in escapism and joy. On the forward scene I see myself cruising along one of the wide German rivers. Bliss in anticipation!

Tantallon Castle on the Scottish Sunshine Coast. Last time we went, one of the guides told us, he'd seen otters and dolphins frolicking just offshore.

Luckily before the virus came I was able to fulfil a few of my dreams, so my mind often wanders back to them ....Bora Bora, Tahiti, Iguaza Falls..... dancing the Salsa on Ipanema Beach in Rio ..... hula dancing on the beach in Hawaii..... it all seems like a dream now ?

Sorry I misinterpreted your thread. My mind wanders off to the adventures that we have had in our old MG. I scribble my thoughts down. So far I've written a sizeable journal, I have never thought about publishing it, but it does seem to get quite a reaction when I leave it on a lectern in front of the car at classic car shows.

Before Covid my favourite beach with a good book.

Since Covid my dining room with all our Children their wives/partners and our Grandchildren.

The beach and sand and lapping my toes on some memorable holidays in the U.K.

I'd like to drive up to Crosby and walk along the sands. - On a sunny day.
