Television shows houses.

I have been a captive audience for a couple of weeks and have been catching up on series of old favourites.

One is Friday Night Dinner, rude irreverent and very very funny.

However it is the Goodman’s home I am posting about.
Of all homes seen regularly this is my ideal, not grand, but a lot more so than mine.

It is so comfortable, snug, cosy sitting room, lovely dining room and a kitchen /diner I lust after.

Does your own taste go towards Downton abbey or more country cottage?
Interested to hear your views.

Yes, I've always admired that house.
It's 1930s, isn't it?
Mine is 1930s but much smaller.
I do like a well proportioned house.
I like symmetrical houses too.
I'm going to go away and have a really good think about this!smile

We like FND in this house too! I certainly do not lust after Downtown Abbey..all that cleaning {grin] and it would be draughty too!
I think that Jim would put me off living in the Goodman's house! But yes it is comfortably and homely which is what I hope my home feels like to visitors..when we can have them.

That house is a real house, not a set.
When they are filming the cast have their own room to relax in etc.
They all get very territorial about their rooms!
I read that in an interview with Simon Bird.

Fanny I am doing well thank you.
Getting about well, staples removed yesterday and almost pain free.
A good recovery really.
