Hello, I hope people don't mind me asking for some help but a few weeks back my daughters dog had some puppies and when they are old enough I'm going to bring one home.

But I'm really stuck on names for it so if anyone had any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. My other dog is Craig. Thank you very much.

My nephew wanted to call his sister's female Guinea pig James Bond!

Hmm.. Letting DGSs name a pet can be a bit of a minefield. Ours came up with some pretty dodgy ones! You could let them choose from a list of names that you like?

I think it’s lovely to let your GCs name the puppy, we knew a ‘Digby’ he was a lovely dog.

Buddy as i am sure he will become one not only to you but your other dog too.smile

Craig is a Celtic name meaning rock how about Ben as it is a name and also means mountain in Scottish.

Boy or girl?
Sparklefizz That's a very relevant question Wouldn't want to give the poor puppy a complex! confused
"Dog or Bitch" would also suffice, but never "Darling" as used by a local young lady!
Imagine in the park calling out "Come here Darling!"!?
You'd cause a stampede; or maybe not! grin

Plato......if he’s anything like my old dog ( sat by his plate, hoping it would be filled) and who had a philosophical nature, into the bargain.

When I was 6 years old, I had rheumatic fever and had to stay in bed for a very long time. I was given a stuffed dog, which was a Schnauzer. I named him Humphrey Bogart.
I had him for years, until I got married. I don't know what happened to him. Went to the land of forgotten toys, I expect.?

Ready?

Sorry, I thought of Ethelred the Unready but dogs are always ready for a walk.
Ethel and Ready.
It's my convoluted thinking.

Will they be registered with the Kennel Club? If so is there a connection to the registered name you could use.
My male dogs were Bennett, Gus and Steed
