Morning Mick, morning All. Gloomy start to our corner of Somerset. Damp and grey. Slept really well last night so no excuse not to tackle the (tedious but necessary) things undone from yesterday. One of our daughters in law is in the self isolating gang as instructed by T&T. A lot of pressure for her and her little family, half way today so downward slope now. That was very kind and thoughtful grandMattie. This smiling behind a mask thing is a challenge, eyes can often reflect a smile don’t you think? . Pleased you had a good day Ashcombe, Thinking of everyone with worries, please look after yourselves and have the best day you can.

grandMattie. It is, yes. When I ride my motorcycle I will always nod my head with a tilt at other riders, I have taken to doing that on foot, and if I really grin my eyes will light up. That’s how I get around it?

Good morning all from Glasgow. I haven't a clue about the weather, as DH is blissfully snoring away beside me, so I can't open the blinds and I can't ask my friend Alexa for the same reason! ?

I have both a Tesco delivery and a hospital telephone consultation at the same time first thing, so I have asked DH to cancel his golf, as despite being superwoman, I can't do both!
I've been struggling a bit recently, so hoping for some encouragement from my retired RA consultant. At 70 years old, he is still working away trying to help out, as my real consultant has been working in Covid ICU since March.

Wishing everyone a pleasant day and that Grammaretto's DH is feeling more comfortable.

Scentia, it’s hard to detect a smile behind a mask! I went to my PO yesterday and told the lady I was smiling when I greeted her and said goodbye. ? She looked rather ? taken aback!

Morning Mick and All.

A grey damp day in prospect here in South Bucks.

Looking forward to meeting up with a GN friend for coffee this morning. Then a quick visit to my optician again to update my prescription sunglasses. He is a Sikh and wears some beautiful coloured turbans with matching bow ties.

Hugs to any poorly or sad grans. ?

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire. As of midnight we are are in Tier 2 I am glad DD and I have outdoor plans for our Wednesday’s together. She has some great ideas, ‘we can clean my garage out mum’, ‘we can clean my car our mum‘, she is full of them?? I had pans to go on long walks with winter picnics!!!!
I am at the factory today cleaning up and sorting some invoicing out. Then I am hitting the weekend running with a list of jobs as long as my arm!!!
I want all my GM friends to look after themselves and others, be grateful for what we have and smile at a stranger???

Good morning from a very wild and windy Co Durham. Started early for me as I've been awake since 3am ish as I'm finding it harder and harder to get a good night's sleep.
I'll make the effort to get out somewhere today as there's a threat of tier 3 lockdown heading our way.

Good morning Mick and all who follow from a dark but dry Greater Manchester. After an early night I slept so well and feel ready to tackle some housework. I've got a bit of ironing waiting too, so will catch up with some recorded programmes whilst I press away.
Going to make a few cards as well this afternoon. I've got a large amount of mince I need to cook ready for freezing which should take care of a few meals. A busy day today after my rest day yesterday.
Hope all those with ills or worries have as peaceful a day as possible. Stay safe. flowers

Good Morning from Oxfordshire
Still dark but think it is dry
Grammaretto hope your DH is home with you soon
Grandmattie what a lovely thing to do for your lady in your corner shop.
Not much going on in my world other than work and usual family worries but onwards and upwards best you can as my Grandma used to say!
Have a good day and stay safesmileflowers

Good morning, everyone, from a very breezy Torbay!

What a lovely gesture grandMattie! It’s so important to support and show appreciation for our small, local businesses!

Despite not being with DH for our anniversary yesterday, I had the best day possible, helped in no small way by the warmth and humour seen in the responses from the lovely folk on here in the Good Morning, Thursday thread. Compared with my Facebook contacts, many of you came up with much more original and witty messages which were heartwarming.

I hope your thoughtfulness towards me comes back to support you when needed. Thank you from us both. ?

Good morning all! Been awake for over an hour. I seem to struggle to get more than five and a half hours sleep these days. Not sure what the weather is doing. I haven't looked out yet. Today I have an online bridge match tonight, part of an across Cumbria league which should be fun. Just a few jobs around the house before that and picking up an elderly friend's script. I struggle to get motivated with house jobs I'm afraid but I must try harder! Hope everyone has a good day and those with pain or worries have some relief.

Good Morning everyone. Wet with fine blowing sideways rain this morning on Severnside. I’m looking forward to Urms Malaga sunshine ?

I’m off to see if I can get a certain Christmas magazine, arrange for my car to be serviced and a small shop unless there are things that tempt my eyes.
I’ll have my breakfast when I return home.
Best wishes to all with ills and worries and stay safe all ?

Good morning from a dark and gloomy E Kent. Yesterday, it was horrid and we spent it metaphorically huddling in front of the fire, with our hot chocolate.
Meeting a young friend for coffee this morning. I haven’t seen her for a very long time, so we’ll do a lot of catching up.
I got some flowers from the market - some yellow roses for me and some flowers for the “corner” shop. They have been fantastic towards their customers throughout this period and I have been giving the lady a bunch every so often as a thank you from the community.
I hope those who are sad, in pain or in distress have a gentle day. Stay safe everyone.
