I have the washing machine on with bed linen so putting clean linen on will be my first task. I then will go for a walk while it is still dry. I have some ironing to do and i then plan to wrap up christmas gifts, curstesy of a well known online service. I may also write cards. I also have a call to make regarding a planned trip to Cornwall next April and hopefully will book it. Its good to have things to do for a change.smile

I have just helped DH carry 4 sides of a new glass shower cubicle from the large shed they were stored in, some 70 odd metres from the house, carry them up the stairs & unpack them. This afternoon we will be starting to assemble them, no doubt with the aid of our 7 year old grandson who is in our childcare bubble & comes to us every Tuesday after school.
It's hard work & I'm not liking it.

I am reading this thread while waiting to donate blood. Cleaned 2 bathrooms this morning. Click and collect at Marks after donating. I will then go home and watch more episodes of The Crown!

I moved my phone tv and broadband account from BT to SKY on 2nd Nov but BT say I didn’t move and that SKY haven’t told them. What a nightmare! I have spent in total 12 hours over the past week speaking (or on hold) to Sky & BT and another hour this morning ..... I think BT have got the message now and cancelled the account what a waste of my time. I am now going to enjoy my day learn some songs and tunes for my Folk Club Zoom on Wednesday and bake a cake.

HannahLoisLuke The Goldfinch was one of my favourite reads... I’ve read it twice and have now passed it on to my hairdresser as I enjoyed it so much. There was a film made of it, which was ok but the book is much better. You need to keep reading and really get into the momentum of the story, I read it on holiday on a beach... if you can still remember having sunny beach holidays? [sigh]

I had a productive morning; my local Aldi is closing down this week so that it can be "revamped" and as a result, they were selling a lot of items off at less than 50%. So I cleaned up there! Home to renegotiate my internet service provider contract and managed to haggle for another 18 months at the same price. Submitted gas/electricity meter readings and apparently I've been paying too much and my monthly direct debit is reducing by £9.00 a month. grin

I worked in the hospital charity shop, selling sandwiches, chocolates, drinks, newspapers and books to staff and visitors to the outpatients dept. Visited a friend from the end of her drive on the way home and had lunch. Lazy afternoon. Signed on as a NHS check and chat responder. May have an alert and a chat if needed.

Put a chilli in the slow cooker for dinner and then we went out into the garden and we’re out there until I thought DH was on the point of keeling over with his COPD, and insisted he went in and did something a bit less strenuous! He’s finishing his jigsaw and I sat down to try and fathom out Windows 10 accompanied by a book for Dummies! I must be more of a dummy than the author catered for ?! I’ll go and do some ironing instead - much more productive!

Had a Zoom Slimming World meeting this morning. DH and I are both members. Afterwards DH went out for a long bike ride. Apart from putting some washing on I did very little as I spent a great deal of time watching blackbirds (my favourite birds) frolicking in the bird bath. Dragged myself away from the birds for a quick trip to Asda as we were out of grapes and blueberries- two of life's essentials in my opinion! A bowl of Tuscan bean soup for lunch (SW recipe and delicious). Going to roast a chicken for supper with lots of vegetables and will use the leftovers into chicken and rice soup.
Oh dear! I seem to be obsessed with food no wonder I need Slimming World!

Well, I haven't done much so far. My back is still painful, so sit down a lot.
I was going to change the bedding this morning, but DH had made the bed.
The jumper I finished recently, was much too big, so I have undone it all and will begin to reknit it later.
Marmalade has been made, with Mamade.
Lots of the GN's on here have been very industrious and bought Christmas presents and cards, I have done neither, and have absolutely no ideas whatsoever.
DH is trying to sort out my ASUS tablet, which is getting ancient, and protests quite a lot these days, so I am leaving him to tear out what little hair has left, and hope he manages to do it. ?

One load of washing done (and one left to do). Some ironing do. Currently reading/answering emails and will check facebook when finished. Made Lunch and took one of our two cats to the Vets (chest infection). When I'm done on the computer, hubby and I will pack another box, as we are moving soon, I hope! Then I will make a small supper (we have our main meal at Lunchtime), and watch TV. My "other" cat - the one who didn't need the Vet, is sat between the keyboard and the monitor, keeping me company.

Zoom call to our speaker for our next virtual WI meeting on the 25th then composing our latest newsletter. I did it weekly for 24 weeks but have now moved to monthly. Had an hour’s break sweeping up leaves for some exercise and fresh air. Feeling pleased with myself - a very productive day!

Just finished making 20 month old grandson's Christmas present road mat. (figures second hand from ebay). Perhaps I should have posted this on the 'giving things you've made as presents' thread, sorry! Now how am I going to wrap this up? ?

Started a sourdough loaf, made a picnic, walked 8 miles with picnic, dog and husband.
Prepared a chicken casserole, spoken to each of our AC and about to soak in the bath before supper.

I've been busy all day crafting stuff to raise funds for a local charity. Probably be doing the same again tomorrow after a few early morning household jobs

I went round the ground floor with the Shark, then this afternoon DH did some gardening and then trod a load of mess all over the clean floors. He said he did change his shoes, but then went out again.
Good job the Shark is easily available for a quick clean up after him.

Today is a good day, my husband has decided not to work today so we will just mooch around this morning. Will probably do craft this afternoon and then have a swim (its hot as here in Aus)

I was quite proud of our hike yesterday until I read that most of you do your 10000 steps before breakfast. It was uphill for most of the way, though. We went to the highest point in the forest. We walked past what is known as the "Felsenmeer" (Sea of Rocks). Didn't do much once we got back except cook a mushroom risotto for dinner.

I'm meeting one of my (adult) grandchildren for a walk.
Yippee. It's raining but I don't care.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 18-Nov-20 09:35:41

So far not a lot.

Just fiddled around putting away light autumn clothes. Taking dog to be stripped wash and brush up later.

Must get on with some crafty stuff that needs finishing before 1Dec.
