Hello All
I'm often awake in the small hours,
for a variety of reasons which I'm sure that many are familiar with.
So I'm starting this thread for anyone in the same position.
We can chat, share our 3am worries, whatever.
If you fancy popping on for whatever reason, here is the thread for all Night Owls moon
See you later x

Morning all! Here ‘fry’ is the mesentary, a membrane, used to wrap faggots in, Rufus. Mum used it but I have never tried to buy it myself.
Wide awake since 3.15 so I foresee an afternoon nap!

JackieBee1 Wed 23-Dec-20 05:12:28

Morning all, shortest day gone, gets lighter in the evenings from here on in smile

Rufus2 Wed 23-Dec-20 03:54:05

It doesn’t mean liver here
Mollygo G'Day! How many of you have these problems?
First it's Kim and now you! tchconfused
Lamb's Fry is liver! Looks like it, tastes like it! I like it!
You mustn't worry about the virus. Worry won't change things. All you need to do is follow the rules like we do in Melbourne, masks, wash, isolate; you know the drill!
Gosh! I sound like a politician! tchhmm
My neice is a hospital nurse in N.Devon and has just returned to work having copped Covid 19. She works a 29 bed ward with mainly elderly patients so it was just a matter of time. Apart from a temporary loss of taste she seems to have survived OK.
So there you go! Think of liver and bacon for breakfast; something to sleep on! tchgrin
Sweet dreams.

Glad you explained the lamb’s fry Rufus. It doesn’t mean liver here. Mentioned on another thread that I’d been sleeping better. I should not have tempted fate.
It’s all the worry about this virus I think.

Too much going on with all the current confusion I guess
Kim Good Afternoon Morning Kim!
Now what's confusing you? I'm here to help! tchsmile
I'm just about to have 1.00pm lunch (Lamb's Fry---Liver to you) and bacon plus vegies, but I can spare a few minutes for a brief consultation. No charge! tchgrin

For reasons unknown sleep is evading me. Suitably drowsy when hit the sack but..... no..... Too much going on with all the current confusion I guess. Must try harder!

Thank you.
I absolutely love this time of year.
I love getting all cosy.

cornergran Tue 22-Dec-20 06:36:22

I’m fine fanny, pain settling, a physio appointment today will help. A big kid with the Christmas lights I’m even enjoying the dark afternoons. Look after yourself, chronic pain is foul and can turn fhe world inside out. Hope you see some improvement in your husband, that would help I’m sure. Rest when you can.

FannyCornforth Tue 22-Dec-20 06:24:15

There! I'm on the chocolate ovaltine at the moment (no biscuits).
I've just posted a mea culpa on my Stop Moaning! Aibu.
I seem to have caused some controversy tchblush
Oh well. As someone wiser than me said, if they're talking about me, they're giving someone else a break tchwink
Tbh I've not been having the best time pain and mobility wise and DHs recovery is so slow it's almost imperceptible.
Which is more than likely the reason behind the arrival of Bad Fanny tchgrin
How are you doing CG? I know that you've got more than a bit on your plate at the moment.brew

FannyCornforth Tue 22-Dec-20 06:17:26

Hi CG! I don't know what is going on, but I keep typing and losing my thread - literally, not metaphorically.
So I'm going to post a little at a time...

cornergran Tue 22-Dec-20 06:03:41

Tea it is fanny smile. I must have been dreaming but no idea what about. Wide awake now, I’m not worrying about it, a fairly easy day ahead so can rest if I need to. How are you?

Nana3 Tue 22-Dec-20 06:00:07

Good morning Fanny.

Nana3 Tue 22-Dec-20 05:59:00

Good morning Marilla and cornergran. I also have tea and a biscuit. It was 4 hours sleep for me, no need to get up for ages yet, just resting is good don't you think?

FannyCornforth Tue 22-Dec-20 05:45:09

Hello Marilla and cornergran,
CG if you are still awake with your pot of tea (so much nicer) I hope that you are feeling better now.

cornergran Tue 22-Dec-20 04:55:09

I’m awake too marilla. Goodness knows why, suddenly woke with my heart pounding, now relaxing with some music and trawling GN. Hope you’re ok. If I’m still awake in half an hour I’ll be making a pot of tea.

Marilla Tue 22-Dec-20 04:41:19

Hello! It look like all you Night Owls are having a good sleep tonight.
I hope this isn’t the end of the thread.
When I am awake in the wee small hours, it was nice to say ‘hello’ to others who were also wide awake! ?

FannyCornforth Mon 21-Dec-20 07:22:38

'morning everyone.
Hope you are all okay.
I'll be back 'properly' in a while

Marilla Mon 21-Dec-20 06:17:30

Phoenix are you able to stay a bit longer in bed this morning to catch up on a couple of hours sleep?

A stiff drink sounds like a plan Nan3. It’s going to be so emotional seeing your daughter and not being able to give her a huge hug.

Nana3 Mon 21-Dec-20 05:37:19

Hope you have managed some sleep phoenix.
Took me a while to work out what day it is today. Meeting dd outdoors to exchange gifts later, a stiff drink may follow.

phoenix Mon 21-Dec-20 04:40:16

Have so far managed about an hour and a half dozing, now been awake since just before midnight sad

stayanotherday Mon 21-Dec-20 02:34:57

Bye.

Marilla Mon 21-Dec-20 00:10:06

Goodnight everyone! Hope we all get a few hours of undisturbed sleep! ?

Kim19 Sun 20-Dec-20 22:22:07

Hello Fanny! Just popped in here. Not even thinking about bed. I wanted Harvey to win. Not really for him - I think his future is somewhat secured - but really for his wonderfully talented mentor, Janette. These two gave me the most pleasure by far during the series with their routines. Think Bill won to a degree on an ageist thing which is a pity. However, it's all fluff and frivolity really. Shows how easily pleased I am nowadays!

FannyCornforth Sun 20-Dec-20 10:58:22

Hello cornergran - thank you for popping in! Glad that your sleep has improved.
DH's recover is very slow. He is so weak and very tired, bless him.
As I said to Maw earlier, I think if he had to catch the damned thing (and heaven knows how he did) then he caught it at the right time.
Early on in the pandemic, when they didn't know as much about it's treatment, he would have been a goner. And I think that the next few months are going to be horrendous.
I have been wondering if perhaps he caught this new super infectious strain.
Thank you again CG flowers

cornergran Sun 20-Dec-20 07:08:37

Morning Night Owls. Just checking on you all. I’m doing quite well sleep-wise, managing to stay away from the iPad when I wake during the night, only awake for half an hour or so. Probably jinxed myself now. How is your husband fanny? You’ve a lot to manage. Hope you are more comfortable. I’m so sorry sparkling, some flowers for you. I was disappointed too kim, thought Bill should be third with either hrvy or Maisie in top place. Oh well, what do I know? Have a peaceful day if you can everyone.
