Ann I thought that you meant me for a very confused nano-second
Good to hear that you feel that you're
slowly getting back to normal.
(Isn't it great that we don't seem to hear that horrid phrase 'new normal' anymore?)
Coolgran should be tucking into her frosties around now...
Had a most perculiar and unpleasant experience yesterday evening.
DH and I were watching TV, I was sitting very close to the front window. Suddenly there was a man banging his fists on the window, face right against the glass. He was bright red, shouting and literally frothing at the mouth! My first reaction was that he'd been stabbed.
I then realised it was a man who lives opposite.
I grabbed the phone, dialled 999 and opened the front door to find out what on earth was going in. I could hardly hear the person on the phone to give details. The man was really shouting, flailing about and banging his fists on our car.
Apparently he was choking- another neighbour came out and slapped his back and something flew out of his mouth.
By now quite a few neighbours were gathered. Choking man quickly gains his composure (sort of) and is quite indignant
Doesn't want to give his surname or dob ('What's the point?')
I cancel the ambulance ( the phone lady was lovely) and quickly go back inside and shut the door on the whole business.
It was so odd. I know that he has had lots of health 'scares' before. Coming to our house and saying that he's had strokes etc. Not a week goes by without an ambulance outside his house. I'm wondering if he has Munchausen's?
There wasn't much that I could do because I had to keep him well away from DH and me (germs etc) as DH is incredibly frail at the moment.
So. That's my story for today.

. Feel quite guilty telling you that. Yes, Zopiclone works but there’s a real need for care with it. I have had an annual prescription for 12 of the the lowest dose for many years now. Usually there are a couple left at the end of the year. Knowing it’s there can be as helpful as actually taking it I think. It was suggested I take it for 3 nights in a row to re-establish a sleep pattern after a particularly difficult run of no or little sleep. CFS and fibromyalgia triggered my sleep issues over 30 years ago, osteoarthritis pain and spinal degeneration added to the mix for the last 10 years. Much easier to manage now I’m retired and can easily adjust the day according to pain and energy levels. I’m pretty sure people who sleep well have no idea how draining disturbed nights can be. Nap if you need to Night Owls, hope the day is as good as it can be.
