Oh I hate Dancing Queen as well

Love Abba

But Dancing Queen is just NOT a song to dance to!

Beauregard Tue 24-Nov-20 20:02:56

I hate Simply the Best by Tina Turner.
Oh and Dancing Queen by Abba.

Lucretzia Tue 24-Nov-20 20:02:41

Honestly, the lyrics, "I am woman, hear me roar" sung with about as much oomph as if she's just knocking up a Victoria sponge before picking the children up from school.

Oh phoenix! That's exactly how I feel. Brilliantly put! smile

"I am woman" by Helen Reddy,

Honestly, the lyrics, "I am woman, hear me roar" sung with about as much oomph as if she's just knocking up a Victoria sponge before picking the children up from school.

'Imagine' and 'Woman' bleurgh.

With you on Imagine, Fanny, dirge. Not keen on Woman either, come to that!

TerriBull Tue 24-Nov-20 19:40:29

Fanny I bow to your superior knowledge on the subject grin

I love Barry White, but only in the last 10 or 15 years or so, he was considered very naff, when I was growing up a bit like Abba who no one would admit to liking, even though we did secretly. I think some of us find as we age, naff seems to hit all the right spots grin One of my friends admitted to me a while back "I don't know what's happened to me lately, I seem to like Barry White", "So do I" came my reply!"

Fairytale of New York .... sets my teeth on edge and I have to switch it off

Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison. Having brown eyes people would shriek they were playing my song as they tried to drag me to the dance floor

Dance The Night Away by The Mavericks . That always gt me stomping off the dance floor in a bad mood

I have many more but I'm getting angsty just thinking of these songs

Grannynannywanny Tue 24-Nov-20 19:33:40

'If you don't know me by now' - the misogynist narcissist gas- lighting song.
