If you could be granted three wishes, what would they be ?

An end to all illness
An end to all wars
A new wish every week

Health to my loved ones.
Happiness to my loved ones.
The same to everyone else’s loved ones.

As I get older my health anxiety has gotten worse so, selfishly, I’d like to be like the Royals and have a specialist doctor on speed dial. That would be expensive but would reassure me - better than worrying about symptoms in the wee small hours.

Secondly, I’d wish for society’s ills - homelessness, mental health, modern day slavery, knife crime and the drug barons who run county lines - to be addressed and properly dealt with. These are a stain on our communities and sadden me.

Thirdly I like to see a fairer society. A true levelling up. Less useless university degrees which promise much and deliver little for our young people and instead, well funded vocational education (we all need plumbers for example!) and investment in apprenticeships while we still have older people about who can pass on their skill sets. Note how popular that programme ‘The Repair Shop’ has become!

Urmston That made me laugh. (I know it's not funny). I have terrible health anxiety too. My sister was in hysterics recently when I said 'I wish I lived next door to a doctor". I was serious!

Health, happiness and peace of mind for my family.
End to war
Safety for all children

Urmstongran I agree, it would be lovely to sort out the world, eradicate homelessness, poverty, hunger, crime, war, dictatorships and disease. And convert or lock away all the greedy, well-off, incompetent people who should be battling those things.

On a personal level I would wish never ever to have wind again, and maybe to lose a teeny bit of weight.

That all the world would be at peace forever

All illness eradicated including this damn Covid

That my family are well, happy, and have enough money to enjoy whatever they want to do

To be able to travel back in time with the knowledge i have today.

For Covid to disappear and never re-emerge

For there to be peace, health and happiness for the whole world.

For an end to Covid for ever.
To live in peace without health anxiety.
To find happiness ...

With all my heart, the obvious one first, - no more wars, diseases, poverty, inequality etc.
Enough money to make my family secure for ever.
To wind the clock back and have my ex-partner not leave me.

Our three grandchildren were asked the other day to make a wish. Jack (8) wished for an end to COVID. Alfie (4) wished he could go and stay at their caravan. Molly (2) wished that “all the people “ could be happy. Such innocence and sweetness. Obviously we adore them all! ???

For one of my children to regain their health.

For all of my family to enjoy on-going good health.

To always have enough money to pay my bills for the rest of my life.

People who commit violent crimes against others to be punished. I believe in an eye for an eye.
My family to be safe and content and always be close to each other.
A proper cure for arthritis it has plagued me since I was fifty it makes me miserable I used to be happy and very active.

End to Global Warming and Plastic Pollution;
A Government who cares about all of us, not just their mates;
And in the words of a song "Maybe there's a world that I'm still to find, borderless and wide....'

To see my mum again (she died two years ago).

For the people of the world to treat one another with love and respect.

For my dog to lose her fear aggression.

1. World-wide peace - in the true sence- peace for everyone.
2. Equitable distribution of goods and resources including education, food, water and medicine.
3. To have the magic fairy come and clean, sort, paint and re-carpet my house... this is currently proving a huge task!

For my family to have good health and long happy lives. For me to have good health and a happy long life. For my cats to have good health and happy long lives. Or is that 6 wishes?

Health, happiness and an end to world famine.

For my daughter to be free of her ex.
For Covid to go away for good
For Christmas to be peaceful and not stressful.

For the world to be peacefully vegan.
To rewild the resulting freed up land
To have a world fit for animals and children.

My wishes are the same as Urmstongran and one from henetha - that my ex hadn't left me. I will love him for the rest of my life.

1. An end to Covid.
2. For DH and myself to stay healthy and live to be 100 so we can see our Grandchidren grow-up.
3. To go back in time to when I was a child and ask all my Grandparents and parents the things I now wish I had asked them.
