Spangler is right. the boxes are definitely getting smaller. We were just saying that the other day. Green triangles are the ones for me but unfortunately we don't have any QS this year. I did remind dh to order two Terry's chocolate oranges with the supermarket shop. When he asked 'what for?' I said 'we always have chocolate oranges at Christmas' and he replied' 'but only for prizes'. Not this year!
I don’t like Quality Street or Roses either. I used to like the coffee creams but they seem to be out of fashion now.
I can remember making a ‘stained glass window’ at school with the coloured cellophane stuck to the back of the paper which had the window shapes cut out.
Glorybee Did anyone enjoy looking through the coloured wrappers when they were little? The red and purple ones created the best effect. Simple pleasures!
Yes indeed I remember doing that as a young child. I used to look at the tv through them and pretend we had a coloured telly! ?
Blue coconut for me, looks as though I’ll get them all. Put all the lovely see through wrappers in a jug last night and tonight, all gone now. Greedy piggies.
Definitely the purple ones! I can remember my DF putting the cellophane wrappers around plastic thimbles to go over fairy lights on the Christmas tree. No health and safety then! X
Purple nuto8b ones and green trianwgles for me too. I hated the strawberry and orange soft centre ones and gave them to the dog (this was 30 years ago, before we knew chocolate was bad for dogs, though it didn't seem to have any ill effects on him!).

Strawberry cream, orange cream, fudge and toffee cup. I ordered a large tin directly from Quality Street with just those sweets! Last year I went to John Lewis and did the same thing. They weren’t allowed to this year.
