gillyknits I've also done a bit of quilling but found it a bit fiddly, not really my thing. But I do admire quilling work done by other people, very intricate and delicate. Have a try at it, it's not an expensive craft. Good luck.

All I want for Christmas is for DH and I to be together, we are so lucky to have each other. I don't want or expect a gift from him, I don't want him going into shops unnecessarily. I have gifts for him as I shop online, he doesn't. Our AC and GC have bought us gifts but won't be able to give them to us until (sometime) next year. That's fine with us. We live in unpredictable times and will just have to go with the flow. I had all their presents gift wrapped and sent directly to them, so I at least know they've got theirs.

FannyC Have you explored Pandora jewellery? They do lovely sparkly stuff and I've found their delivery to be excellent.

However, on a purely personal note I'm getting a lovely new Magimix.

My poor old mixer (not a Magimix) gave up during last lockdown.

I've been procrastinating since the summer then DH saw the one I wanted at a really good price so I'm treating myself.

Last spring my SIL bought me an electric propgator as a surprise. I had the best year ever for growing veg. However, that wouldn't have been difficult, going by past results!

I would like Santa to cancel Brexit and make the Covid vaccine widely available.

Casdon. What a lovely idea. I would like one to be able to start off my flower seed sowing earlier. I had cosmos that didn’t even flower before the frosts this year. Do they still sell the lights in Ikea?
There are plenty of hydrophonic shops around which sell gro- lights but as these mainly cater to the drug growing fraternity I am loathe to go in.

I am obsessed with silk scarves and I have lost count of how many I have but another is always welcome. Otherwise anything by Jaeger - a visit to a charity shop will often reveal a bargain! - or anything consumable - good wine, chocolates etc - is always welcome.

What I do not want is any more "stuff" eg china, ornaments and similar, Having spent the past year ruthlessly decluttering I do not want to have to start all over again!

All of this is trivial when what all of us would want is to turn the clock back to 2019 and hope for better things next year.

I’m hoping for a plant grow light, so I can grow my own salad through the winter. I do realise though that this is a minority interest present!

Just to have the same lovely Christmas us usual will do wonderfully for me and that looks like happening at the moment.

I’m hoping for everyone to stay healthy, and wall to wall sunshine from May to September so we can have a lovely care free summer with no restrictions.

Anything at all will be received with thanks.

To be vaccinated .

I realy want a fold up walking stick as my current one drives me mad when it falls over when i lean it against anything. Also when i go walking it would be nice when on a flat path to try and walk without a stick as i could fold it up and put under my arm with out it hitting anyone or anything!! lol. Also would like a proper cover for my Tablet so it stands up properly. Both these things i could quite easily buy myself but when the kids ask what i would like it s good to have some ideas for them that are not too expensive.

That's a lovely idea MawB, but we both know exactly where we'll be going next - Alnmouth in Northumberland. I even know the exact cottage - it faces the beach. Oh, I cannot wait!

I would love a copy of Barrack Obama's book, 'A Promised Land'. If it was a signed copy that would be the icing on the Christmas cake.
