What are you hoping for from Santa?

BlueSapphire if you have an Omega watch I'm sure it can be repaired and Fanny a new bracket would be a good idea for your precious heirloom. I have bought some Tanzanite earings to go with a my ring, and one of Boots star buys, a Ted Baker tub of lovely things. I always treat myself as DH hasn't got a clue!

You can still get deliveries from Amazon and Next etc. In fact most online retailers that I shop with.
I do like an excuse to chat, but it is a genuine predicament.
I've not really given Christmas that much thought this year yet, but DH has said that he wants to get me something.

DH and I decided not to buy each other presents as there is really nothing we especially need or want - but we have bought two books to share - not to be read until Christmas. Hopefully Richard Osman and Barack Obama won’t let us down! Ps. I’d like our cats to sleep beyond 6.30 in the morning when they cry outside out bedroom door. Now that would be a great Christmas gift. ????

I am hoping that my OH does exactly what he has been told and buys me precisely nothing. I don’t need more stuff and I don’t need the embarrassment of the Christmas before last where he agreed to buying nothing and presented me with a trip for us to Cambodia and Thailand flying business class. I can’t remember what happened last Christmas so he must have got the message.

to all of you missing your families, especially your Grandchildren. It must be heartbreaking for you. I spent so much of my childhood with my Nan and Grandad. I can't imagine how my Nan would have coped in these circumstances.

Blue Sapphire I inherited my mom's Omega which was her 21st birthday present, it too is over 50 years old and still going strong. Unfortunately she had it put on a gold bracelet strap and it is too small for me. She must have had tiny wrists as mine are small.

So far, I'm thinking of a sweater dress and earrings from next.

Our family exchange Christmas gifts but I’ve also arranged a gift for myself this week.
I’ve sponsored a donkey at a Sanctuary in Cornwall, which I hope to visit next summer (we always stay a week in Cornwall).

In answer to the question at last, a new pair of jogging bottoms please. Been wearing the old pairs for the last nine months.

I would love to see and cuddle my DGDs, but I know that's not going to happen.

I would love some books, something with Chanel on it, anything really. I don't mind.

When this is all over I am going to treat myself to a new watch; the Omega my late DH bought for me on our first Christmas together in 1969 has just died, not bad for 51 years! So I am spending some of the kids' inheritance on a new one. DH would have approved.

GrannyLaine, thanks for the reminder. DH still hasn't done our Mary's Meals donation, which will be doubled by the Govt, I believe.

For the first time ever in my nearly 65 years, there will be nothing in my stocking.

This year we agreed with our adult children that we will do something that will make a difference to others less fortunate than us and so have donated as a family to a local homeless charity. There but for the grace of God and a loving family go any one of us. Using gift aid, we were able to donate a total of £750. I am humbled and so very proud that they all wanted to be a part of this. I have still had the joy of giving presents to my grandchildren and look forward to their carefully chosen (and usually hilarious) presents even more.

All I really want is a a special gran hug from my wee granddaughter , Fanny, anything else is immaterial. However, that won't be happening any time soon.

I know my DH and family will be over generous as usual, but nothing will make up for not having my family here.
I did ask, if anyone was listening, for headphones which don't hurt my ears.
